I originally wondered about this possibility of the abductor speaking to her and making some kind of comment like this. The way the blanket on MM's bed was pictured looks like it would as if she got up by herself, pulling back the corner, turning her legs to the side and getting up. Whereas you'd think if someone took her out of bed the blanket would be pulled completely back. Could someone have just pulled up the shutters, reaches inside to the pulley to hold the shutters in place and then called MM over to them under some pretence? Wouldn’t even need to enter the apartment, just lift her through the window.

Yes, but was cuddle cat on a shelf/ledge?
Also your theory would leave no trace of dna in appartment.

Is that not a baby seat? Wouldn't a 4 year old be too big for this?

It is a car seat... don't know for what age it was intended. I wonder if he used a car seat to abduct her? Would he? Interesting thought here. Would he use a seat to restrain her? Hope she wouldn't know how to get out of it without help? Would he use one to ensure he could drive without her freaking out and becoming agitated and unruly in the vehicle?

How long was it before police sealed the scene? 24 hours I've read. How many other people may have changed how the bed originally looked before that photo was taken? It would be interesting to ask KM this question: how did the bed look upon discovering MM was gone?

What was Madeleine McCann's Cuddle Cat and how long did Kate carry it for?

But again, is it possible a friend / searcher could have moved Cuddle Cat? If it was on the bed when Kate arrived and found her daughter gone, that is huge. But Kate may not remember it. She may only remember it being too high up on a shelf where MM couldn't have put it. That indicates to me that someone came into the apt and took the kid and left the doll quite on purpose, in the apt.

No, I know, the bed position may well have been changed prior to the photo, although I've not seen any description from KM or GM to say it was left otherwise.

I'm not saying it's my theory on what happened but I still think it's plausible and it was one of my initial ponderings on the case.

So is the "ledge" where cuddlecat was found the ledge above MM's bed? That's the only ledge I can see in that room.
MM could have put it there surely if she stood on the bed.

Yes, you can see it on the drawers next to the bed, its the pink thing. Personally I think she could reach that high, or at least have tossed it there. But there may be other possibilities such as an adult moving it later, not thinking.

If that tip is valid ( van in Alcossebre)
CB needed a child seat.
I assume that it is also prohibited in Portugal to transport a Child without a car seat.
Tip uit 2007 kon toch de juiste zijn: “Maddie stapte in een Duits VW-busje”

According to CH from BKA:

Over 800 hints from witnesses after last broadcast so far. Every hint will be looked over carefully, what takes time. By now there seem to be some useful hints, but he can't und won't say more to this. BKA still urges everyone to speak to them, who can give more info to the person, CB was talking to on phone at PDL, soon before MM disappeared.

Unfortuneatly nothing more so far, but the prosecuter kept himself VERY covered!

3 intriguing things:

1. Some trash. A cigarette packet? I don't know the meaning, but perhaps he was there for some time.

2. Some strange thing. It's too shiny to be in the shadow. Any ideas?

3. A lonely left bare footprint. Perhaps too small for an adult. Perhaps too big for a 4YO.

Agree.
It looks unnatural because I believe the carrier is left handed - just like I believe CB is left handed.

Very impersonal. I think it’s also indicative of a child that didn’t fall asleep on the person. If they did, they instinctively put their arms around your neck.

A lot's been written about sightings of a man carrying a child the night MM disappeared.

If I was about to write a fictional police book about a kidnapping under those circumstances I'd never put a man carrying the child. I'd consider screaming and child agitation a great danger for perpetrator. So I'd put a car waiting right next to apartment to go away in a second.

You have only 2 choices: either they carried MM to a home nearby, and they could go by foot, or they carried her far away, and they needed a car.

My question is: the second choice is by far more probable. So why should they park the car far from apartment, especially when they could park it right next to apartment?

So, those sightings must be false leads, wrong persons, illusion, lies, and so on.

In other cases of this nature, telling the child they were going to find Mummy seems to have resolved that.

2. Bullet? I was just wondering about the gun he was supposed to have had at some point. And whether he could have kept it hidden in the umbrella. Very far-fetched, I know. I don’t know what happened to the gun, if he did have one. I know nothing about firearms so am just rambling to myself really. (Am assuming a gun doesn’t figure in his fantasy enactments anyway - assuming he needs to be more hands-on).

This was for Mendel’s photo. I forgot to post the quote.

They're talking about other cases now, correct? I think I lost MM.

Is this not at the scrap yard after it wasnt his anymore?, ie when someone else took photos of it ,and the sea one was taken by him like they found this photo that he had took?

Surely it is WW, but would CB be too concerned about complying with law?
If he sold MM, he surely wouldn't take the risk to be pulled over, if authorities had a glimpse of a child, without a child seat. His ex GF stated in msm that he wanted to make a lot of money and kept talking about 1 million.
But that is moo.

Guess, you are right, seemed careless:
"Story / «I remember seeing a car in poor condition and painted with a yellow stripe in the middle. It caught my attention because you could tell he was careless, but at that moment you are not going to think badly ». And he adds: "I did not see anyone enter the car, nor any girl nearby, I just remember seeing that van," says the witness."

Yes, they do! MM-case took only a few minutes! This strategy of keeping info looks to me, as if the knot is slowly tightening, maybe also on other cases and they use the fact, that CB is in prison. No need to hurry and keep the investigation as carefully as possible.

It sounded to me, they are at last just looking for the mysterious caller. Maybe as the safe last nail on the coffin. At last i hope so!
