ROSEVILLE, Calif. —
A man wanted in connection with a Sacramento homicide was arrested Tuesday night in Roseville while trying to flee from officers, officials said.
The suspect was identified as Asghar Ehsan, 48, on Wednesday, Sacramento police said.
The incident began around 3:40 p.m. at a home in the 6700 block of Calvine Road. Sacramento officers were asked to conduct a welfare check when they found a woman dead inside.
Sacramento police were able to identify Ehsan as a suspect in the case. Investigators said Ehsan and woman knew each other.

Around 6:30 p.m., Roseville police got an alert about an armed homicide suspect wanted out of Sacramento. About an hour later, officers spotted a vehicle matching the suspect's vehicle -- with the man inside -- behind the Fry’s Electronics store along North Sunrise Avenue.
Roseville police said officers asked Ehsan to get out of the vehicle. However, he did not comply and drove away.
“While attempting to flee from the scene, an officer had to jump out of the way of the moving vehicle,” Roseville police said in a news release.

When Ehsan drove onto North Sunrise Avenue, he hit a city bus and his vehicle stopped working.
“The suspect then attempted to run from officers, but he was quickly taken into custody,” Roseville police said.
No officers were injured during the incident. One person in the bus suffered minor injuries.

The man suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment, Roseville police said.
Ehsan was booked into Sacramento County Jail on homicide charges, Sacramento police said Wednesday.
The victim’s identity will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office, Sacramento police said.
