"Make him stop" - Casey to Baez

I didn't see anything consoling about AL holding Casey's wrist either. In fact she looks just like you described "staring stonily" at her ~ no comfort there! The redness in Casey's face afterward indicates anger so that would be fitting with the attorneys trying to control an outburst of rage. MOO

I think this is the real reason for the defense wanting to get the videos destroyed. I suspect that Casey has lost her temper during her attny visits and this is visible on the tapes. It's not that the the taping is 'distracting' or that anything has been overheard or audio-recorded. It's that they don't want anyone to see how uncontrolled Casey's anger is.

edit: Oops I see kentjbkent beat me to it

"Make him stop"?

KC has the ablity to make it all stop anytime.

All she has to do is explain what happened to Caylee that day when GA saw them leave .... how did Caylee go from KC's control?

The ZFG thing is not verifiable so ... KC tell a story that is and it will all go away. Only KC can make this stop but the train has a full head of steam and is heading ever quickly towards a gorge where the tracks are completely gone.

Jeopardy for KC is increasing exponentially and, after taking one life she is about to take another -- her own. Your silence is killing you.

The SA has focused and strategic momentum. They stunned the Defense team yesterday, set them aback but ... they are only just getting started.

So true. She had more than ample opportunity to tell what happened, but lied continuously. I guess she didn't understand that if your child goes missing and unreported for 31 days, and then you make up easily discredited stories, then remain silent to the point of not even seeing your family and speaking in bizarre codes and hints...people WILL fill in the blanks on their own.

If she's not guilty, why is she not coming out with what really happened, like you pointed out - obviously the truth is so horrible that it's better in her mind to keep it secret and sit in jail for a year and a half and roll the dice on a murder charge w/ a possible LWOP or death penalty.

Slightly OT, but did anyone else notice when AL was going on about the death penalty and Casey teared up, that between dabbing her eyes, she looked up with her right eye while dabbing her left to see if her tears were having any effect on the judge? It was a very brief action, but it did happen.

It seems to me that we have a trio of people who want to make it stop, Casey, GA and CA. The usual family ploy if they can't control an event is they leave or get the offending party to leave. Getting up and storming out when Ashton was speaking certainly wasn't adult behavior on the part of the elder Anthonys. I think they see the proceedings as an attack on all of them. They claim they want the truth, but they really don't. They only want a truth that's acceptable to them.

This whole family is capable of compartmentalizing their various realities or dismissing them altogether. So Casey killed Caylee, and then she simply dismissed that reality, and went on to a new one. The elder Anthonys dismissed it too, and went onto their Casey is innocent reality.

Yesterday we witnessed two versions of make it stop or make him stop. Both versions from 3 Anthonys who can't stand to be held accountable.

I have certainly not found myself in the position to defend either of the Anthonys in the past, but in regards to them leaving the courtroom during JA's
speaking of manner in which state believes Caylee was killed, I am afraid that I would probably have done the same thing if it was MY grandchild who had been so viciously murdered.
I do not know the Anthony's nor did I ever have the pleasure of meeting Caylee, but I find it difficult to actually hear the explicit details of the duct taping. If it was actually a child I had a loving bond with.....sorry, I just don't think I could have sat and listened.

In fact, I am aware of several trials where the family member(s) of a murder victim has to leave the courtroom during excruciating testimony about their loved one.

I would NOT be defending the Anthony's on this one had they NOT returned to the courtroom...

JMHO

BBM

I think I would have closed my eyes tight and covered my ears, and kept my 🤬🤬🤬 in my chair without disrupting the court.

Awesome post-KC has said several times that she is not in charge, that she cannot make it stop. She knows she can, though, but if she gives up that position of "I'm not in charge," she has nothin else to cling to.

ITA. I think Casey is capable of tremendous rage and if you read GA's depo he speaks about them never confronting her because they "didn't want to make her angry." I believe the A's are afraid of her and have been for some time. As far as visits with her attorneys, I would think that rage would be quite evident when she doesn't get what she wants.

Let's stay on topic...KC's comment "Make him stop".

Thank you!

Wow, I find everyone's comments insightful. Interesting video too. It says alot but exactly what is up to interpretation.

My gut reaction to seeing her tear up/angered/whispering "make him stop" was that when she hears the prosecution's theory on Caylee's last moments that they may not have it just right as to what REALLY happened. Only she, as the perp, knows what truly happened and she is pissed she is getting railroaded to a DP on their scenerio. Fact is, unfortunately for her, she can't chime in and set the story straight, even if it was an accident.....that sociopatic mentality blazing away thinking that since their evidence is not the truth, she shouldn't be sitting there having to listen to it. It makes it even harder when they personify a dying Caylee's last moments of life and make her real in the court. It made it real for Casey too as she has never thought about what Caylee might have felt and to a sociopath such as herself, she has no power to publicly change what people are hearing and thinking. There it is now in open court, archived in perpetuity by court records (and on this website), that someone was finally speaking up for Caylee and telling HER terrifying side of the story. This is key to the prosecution's job, to be Caylee's voice....make her come alive again in that court. Her spirit in that courtroom will be Casey's undoing.

BBM......

I think at that very moment (her "breakdown") kc actually did feel for caylee in a way that she simply hasn't allowed herself to feel on the past. She has built up this huge make believe reality where she can comfort herself into believing these ridiculous lies she has told. Just as she seemed to have to rely on staying busy with nonstop texting, telephoning, and partying to erase caylees death from her memory before and then later lied about everything and allowed no one around who would break this crazy alternate reality of hers even to the point where her own parents would not question these crazy stories. This is just like when she had the episode at the jail when the remains were found. She faltered and began to hyperventilate but then comforted herself by saying "none of this is real". No one has ever really confronted her with any of this but now there is no way she can sit in that courtroom and continue in her little make believe world. No one can make it stop and all those memories of caylee that she's forced to the back of her mind for so long have no choice but to come forward. Now we will she the real kc. One good way to "lie like you mean it" is to truly live in that lie and make it your reality.

I'm not sure JB could have warned her, because he has not been through this type of trial himself.
AL has been through this a million times, but she is so comfortable with the ins and outs, that I think she might minimize a lot of that with KC until she gets to a certain point. She wants to get through all of the preliminary stuff to get a clearer picture of where they go next. Then, I believe, she will advise KC.
KC herself should have every indication of what will be happening to her. She is a functioning adult with capacity to understand that what she did was the worst crime a human can commit...Isn't she a big CSI fan?

I don't think it was choreographed, because the way she said "make him stop was very abrupt. I think the first thing in her head was the fact that her parents were there listening-then she may have thought about how everyone was listening...her "make it stop" sounded kinda like "he's not gonna do this here and now, is he? Shiznit! make'emstop quick!
Then she knew she was cornered, and the cat was out of the bag in front of all those people. It's not like she could pull Ashton out in the hall and say "can we do this somewhere more private?"....it had to be done there, and directly aimed at her.
I think she was also a little shocked that they had developed a loose theory on what happened. And they were darn close. It's like if someone accuses you of looking at 🤬🤬🤬🤬 in front of all your co-workers, then proceeds to list your favorite adult sites and your screen name "lilpete1"....she got soooo busted, and she can't lie her way out of it-How frushtrating, embarrasing, and scary, cause she DOES know this means she is going down.

She is a spoiled Princess (or was) who always got her way and never dealt with the truth!

Perfecto!!!!!!!!!! Love it

I'm sorry if someone has already mentioned it, but during the "make it stop" time, the SA starts describing how a 2 year old would have to be physically or chemically restrained to keep from taking the tape off her nose. KC threw her right hand up to her left wrist at exactly the moment the SA said "restrained".
I thought that was like a body that does something true that the mind may not even be aware of? It was very interesting.
I agree with the other posters, tha AL was holding her arm (looked also like a restraint), perhaps to remind KC that anything she were to do would affect her, like shake or nod her head, say something, or just touch her hair at the wrong moment, that would look really bad. And I am also sure the defense is afraid of her mouthing off or acting in a bad way in the court. Yes, AL has her work cut out to control her during the trial.

I really believe she is not used to being called out like this. Her whole life has been filled with excuses, a lack of consequences for her behaviors. In other words, she has never had to pay the price for messing up. I think this is the first time she has ever been called to task. It's a major form of punishment that she is facing, but I think her parents set some of this in motion by not being consistent with discipline. Thats my take on it.

Yeah, she looks surprised, but I imagine, at age 23, I would be surprised too, if my first real consequence was being handed down by the state of FL, via a murder charge.

You are right! She NEVER had to cough it up because the rents always covered her azz!! goodly spoken!!

Reality bite or slapped KC:croc: very hard yesterday and it's about time!! She wanted her attorney's to say the magic word (objection) and make JA stop like she and CA have done for years and control the situation! Guess what KC? You're not on Hopesprings Dr. anymore!! Your lawyers can't shut the SA up (without a valid legal reason) like you and your mother shut up GA!
I think KC's lose of control and hearing the ugly truth caused KC to breakdown yesterday. She couldn't shout, threaten to leave, or order anyone else to stop-she was very "frushtrated" :banghead:and those were tears of frustration cause for the first time in her life she has realized that she is going to be held accountable and that means at the very least HER life, as she knew it, is forever over.:snooty:

Too Bad! You are in for a very rude, cruel ,and I could go on, ride HONEY for the death:furious: of your daughter,Caylee. This is only the Itsy Bitsy beginning!!

Make it stop because you'll be sorry if you don't, JB and AL. Casey's getting mad. Watch out everybody. I agree the timing of her body language grabbing her wrist looked like a restraint in itself, almost like her body was reliving past actions because maybe she grabbed Caylee's wrists to restrain her.

Yes, we do have to talk about these disturbing facts and evidence, Casey, for probably the next two or three years you'll hear some insulting stuff about yourself. Surprise, surprise.

I think her performance was for the cameras. Everyone complains that she doesn't cry when they talk about how Caylee died so now she is going to cry (like she is suppose to) when they describe how Caylee died. She seemed more concerned about the tears smearing her eye makeup and how her hair was than any true grief. If the tears were real I think they were for herself. I think the "make it stop" was because they got too close to the truth and she didn't want to hear reality. She has made up her own story world that she lives in, and this "truth" has no place in her made up world.

Really! Is she still in LaLaLand or what???? Deny,Deny,Deny!!!! How HorriblePoor Baby girl Caylee!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ugh . This is just the beginning for the Brat!!

From watching the video: I don't know ... so I'm asking: do others usually have the privilege of being able to cozy up to their lawyers, and hide in them, as KC was? Do those lawyers usually hold their hand/arm, and protectively hover over them? Just seems KC gets away with special privileges all the time. Maybe it's happened before, I've just never seen it.

Also: She does seem to cry .. but she certainly takes ALLOT of time wiping her eyes and making sure they're properly cleaned off, and no makeup is disturbed. My goodness! Also, she STILL makes sure she just lightly brushes her hair back, so it looks good, stays in the same style ... instead of just putting it behind her ears for convenience.

She is REALLY concerned on appearance ... no matter what the situation and cost. That really does point to narcissism big time.

Well, We are talking about Casey here, don't ya know?

But if you take into account the mind and thoughts of a sociopath, it really is NOT surprising. KC has no feelings of emotion at all, and any and all actions, thoughts or gestures are only for HER benefit. (Her actions towards her parents seem odd and surprising to us who are NOT sociopathic because no matter what, we FEEL the emotion of love between parent and child. KC doesn't have the ability to feel this devotion (imo)

The Anthonys no longer have anything to offer KC. They are basically "used up" in her frame of reference. They no longer exist so they are disregarded. At this point, only Baez and AL have anything to offer KC, getting her out of this mess, so her sole focus is on them!

I think KC's parents have alot to offer her. I mean who else fawns on her, giving her the benefit (beyond belief) of the doubt while referring to her as PRINCESS. I'm sure she eats up what control she has over them personally. I think I've read that this is actually the kind of following sociopaths enjoy.

p.s. I have not commented on this thread, that is chock full of great comments, but just want to say, I think there were no tears for Caylee coming from KC and the "make him stop" was probably pre planned.

I guess I'm a cynic, but just don't feel there is a genuine thing that we will be see being displayed by her in her court appearances now that AL is on board. I think she has been well rehearsed.

I replayed the Orlando Sentinel video several times, and while JA is describing the layers of duct tape, Casey also tells AL "make him stop" and AL says "I can't." If you turn the volume up, you can hear it, although it is much more faint than when she tells JB. I agree with you. I think she is very angry that she has to sit there and listen and face up to what she did to Caylee. Mr. Ashton told it like it is... and Casey has NEVER been made to face up to anything. Those tears are not of remorse or guilt, they are of anger IMO.

And same with C&G running out of the courtroom! They are the enablers in this sad situation? Why did they run? Can't accept the truth, I guess IMO. They let her get away with Murder! JMO.:boohoo:
