What's creepy about it? I love it. I use it to track my loved one's international flights.

Reading all these theories and reasons other planes have crashed.. I'm not flying again. We have to worry about missiles, terrorism, mid air desentegration, bombs, depressurization, fuselage seals breaking, antennas flying off, suicidal pilots, other mechanical issues and...
Weather.

On top of the other 10000 things my obsessive compulsive mind dreams up.

I need a break.

Based on the number of flights we have each year (or minute) and the numbers of fatal incidents involving planes, you are probably in more danger on your couch. Or standing on your lawn.

In fact, looking at this tragedy and using to rationalize a fear of flying, or to say flying is unsafe, is like hearing about a man who became a quadriplegic after bending down to pick up some trash while standing outside, and saying that standing outside or picking up trash in the garden, is dangerous and should be avoided: http://www.everydayhealth.com/news/freak-fall-leaves-man-quadriplegic/

Update - press conference delayed for 1.5 hours. Next press conference at 8:30 am UK TIME, 4:30 am NEW YORK TIME. No reason given on sky news UK for delay.

If this wasn't so sad I would take bets on how this press conference will change the story.

Very cool--it's working for me, now!

Not sure you can zoom in...at least I haven't found that feature. You just eyeball it one grid at a time and mark anything you see (other than ocean waves) with the icons on the left.

I was hoping I could right click and save an image, then zoom the pic on my end (or run through effects, etc), but that doesn't seem to be working out. Still working on it.

I try to rationalize it to myself but I'm still terrified of a plane crash when I fly. I know the car trip to the airport is statistically more dangerous. I think fear of flying taps into something primal. The sky is not a natural place for us humans to be. Something about plummeting 1000's of feet fills me with dread. I can't rationalize it away. That moment when the plane lifts off the ground just seems like it should be physically impossible. But I know it is possible. Some people like the thrill, some seem to just not worry. I'm one of the nervous ones!

I increased the zoom on my browser settings to 500%

Authorities’ decision to display what appears to be a combined image
of the two Iranians who boarded missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 using
stolen passports has now triggered questions over their authenticity.

-----------------------------

But closer scrutiny of the still image of Pouria taken from surveillance footage and handed out to the media showed that
it was a combination of his upper torso stapled over the legs of a second Iranian
identified yesterday by Interpol as Delavar Seyed Mohammad Reza, 29.

I am seriously not sure what I am looking at- except the clouds and different water colors...:truce:

That it just stops being able to be tracked.
