So shouldn't they be able to better narrow down on the beacon signal now, if this is the plane wreckage?

The aviation folks state by the time it was searched, any debris would have drifted away with the currents. if you look at this map- it is believable (to me) he saw "something"....

Here's the area of the oil rig. I don't think they've searched this area yet?

Can I just ask since there is a lot of mention about CNN here, are they a reliable news channel, what is their UK equivalent?

What else would be floating in the ocean measuring 72' x 79'?

Plus, China would be the one who knows the most about everything IYKWIM.

And I'm jumping the gun, but I just pray that having this info sooner would not have meant a different outcome for the passengers and crew.

CNN international is certainly reliable, like BBC international, I've heard different from CNN nationally but as an international channel they are serious and excellent reputation, on the ball, quality journalists

CNN is very reliable. It has been a 24 hour news station in the United States for ions. The Equivalent would be CNN International.

Which authorities. I know that the actual recordings of the CVR are never released here in the U.S. though transcripts often are.
