This is kind of different though because there's an enormous jungle right outside the window that would actually be really fun to explore as a kid. I understand Nora seems to like to stay by her parents, but I would have certainly been up early wanting to explore the surroundings, especially if it had been hyped up in the weeks before departure

JMO, I think he was comparing to MM because of the window.

They had an 18 hour flight and then the drive and check in. They arrived at 7am on Sat. I think they explored Sat. (flowers on the counter). Its total pitch black, very short dawn and dust period, the sun came up at 7:12 that morning. No point in getting up when its dark and I bet they were exhausted. Jmho

Ben Needham yes. The case is quite similar if based on the theory Nora wandered off. But poor Maddie's case is completely unrelated. I just hope Nora's case stays in the media until she is found. Hopefully soon.

I may be to totally wrong, but wasn't one of the theories with Maddie, she opened and crawled out the window?

I’ve been following this thread non-stop.

I feel for Nora and her family deeply.

Something just seemed off to me from the very beginning.

I’ve been traveling in the jungles of Malaysia (various places and without locks in the doors) and compared to many other Asian countries Malaysia seemed very safe with a good infrastructure. Even the very distant jungle in Borneo.

This is my speculation only but I tend to believe she woke up and something caught her interest/she was disoriented in a strange place and she ended up venturing outside. The police claim that she did it via the window, I have no reason not to believe their expertise myself.

I’m just afraid she ended up in the river A teenager with special needs... possibly autistic... who are known to have interest in water. This would explain why she hasn’t been found, despite of the divers being involved.

The 2 other scenarios: a very short timeline for any outsider to act up without anyone noticing (more or less via the window, too, plus a vehicle would have been needed). Not impossible though, things have happened in the most safe areas of the world.

Nora’s condition? I don’t even want to get there regarding her family members.

Just praying she would be found safe & sound. At this point it isn’t looking very promising though

I suppose it is possible that she was not enticed from outside but was escaping from a threat inside. Make of that what you will.
tree1 posted this before seeing your post. I agree

I've pondered the question about if any of the children have information. JMO and thoughts....

The family is so distraught they can't speak publicly. Most of us have a sister or brother. No matter how hard I try to convince myself the sister knows something and is not speaking up, I can't. We lost a niece, it was horrific, my sister and brother in law did go on TV per LR request and beg the public to help. She spoke, as he sobbed uncontrollably at her side. If any of her sibling had any knowledge I believe in my heart they would have spoken up, to see your parents in this situation is unimaginable.

JMO, LE is hanging onto the missing person theory. We do not have privy to the terms and conditions the children were questioned under. The parents are doing everything, pulling out all stops, the embassy, LBGF, media, if they thought talking to LE would help, they would. We don't how traumatized the children are.

All is just my opinion
I just saw a short video clip of Noara's mother, father and younger sister, with mom making a short statement. But I was not able to get the sound to work properly. Underneath the banner said "Nora's family speaks about the fingerprints found on the open window'; ---oir something like that. It said BBC as the source.

Has anyone seen that video?

I had the same feeling. I can't understand people saying they have read everything - sometimes something alarming can be in the midst of a good review too.

ITA. The reviews you discuss are there. Iirc, there were some that talked about how dark it is because the resort turns off all lights at night. I just don't see Nora voluntarily going into the dark in a strange place.

Anyone else notice the only hallway window is above the door?

The window is actually adjacent to kitchen per this Twitter post with police photos. Very tall. window.

The only thing I can think of is that there was a Gecko or other wild life inside the house.
I think that as the family had booked the holiday somewhere where wild life was very much part of the environment that Nora was happy to be with animals .

This one? It is her Aunt, not her mother.

Yes but we don’t know if it was morning already when she disappeared. Before the Father waking or noticing at 8AM
Curious the order of events. Did the Fad climb up spiral staircase to check on children initially or did he do that because he saw an open window?

I’m on my mobile and don’t seem to be able to quote Skigh’s post.

Yes, for most tourists Malaysia is about the beautiful nature, animals (orangutas, proboscis monkeys, civet cats, turtles etc.), nice islands and excellent food.

Was my post about the family deliberately choosing a place with animals as Nora loved animals

That was heavily contradicted (only fingerprints inside were the parents) hence the prevailing theory that she was snatched but that the kidnapper got in through the window but that's a whole other discussion tbh

Thanks for clarifying, I couldn't remember exactly how it was.

But, I think the family has reached out to the gentlemen in the article and he has offered and encouraged outside assistance. Jmo

If Nora did venture out after sunrise at 7.12 it would have been a very short window of time between that and the father noticing and raising the alarm around 8am and thereafter

Please, please do not connect Nora missing to Madeleine McCann.

Was the window propped up with something to hold it?

The article originally reference listed 3 children that have gone missing abroad. That is the only connection. And, the family reached out to the gentleman who worked on her case, so of course he is going to mention both precious cases. He is offering help.
Respectfully, imho...
