Police will now focus on the jungle's hilly areas as it is possible that Nora could be hiding behind trees or rocks.

Interesting. It's sounding more and more likely that she did just wander off for whatever reason.

ITA. The reviews you discuss are there. Iirc, there were some that talked about how dark it is because the resort turns off all lights at night. I just don't see Nora voluntarily going into the dark in a strange place.
She didn’t necessarily go out in the dark. She was simply discovered missing at 8am. Personally, and as I’ve stated before, I don’t believe she would have ventured out in the dark, as it would have been too scary.

That's a very tight timeline. If she went out by herself, I'd think she would wait until sunrise.
If so, it would mean she was outside about 7:15 am or so.

If Dad found her missing at 8 am--wouldnt he go outside and call out, and look around? She couldn't have been too far away at that point, right?
45 minutes? I think that’s a long period of time. There is water not far at all. I wouldn’t be surprised if she ended up in there, and people have taken notoriously long periods to be found in water. Even divers don’t always find them.

I am still wondering why she went out in her undergarments?

I, too, can't help but wonder if it is someone close to home in London...

Someone with a grudge...

That knew where the family was going to vacation?

Just a thought...
I think that’s rather far fetched! I also doubt any family involvement myself.

Because that’s what she was wearing. Simple as that, I assume.
I saw descriptions of her, said to very shy and cautious---it seems out of character to go outside in one's undergarments, at age 15, if one is shy.

I guess what I mean is--if she decided to go out exploring on her own, why not throw on some clothes really quick?

Was she barefoot as well?

It kind of feels like someone running away quickly from something, as opposed to going on a casual morning walk.
