Am I the only one to think a large reward may be a bad idea? At least not while official searches are going on.

I can see it being total chaos with people coming from all over.
Yeah it's a bad idea imo, they just attract lunatics who swamp police resources. I honestly can't think of a case where a reward has found someone.

Is it possible that all three children snuck out that night or in the early hours?

There are no outside lights and it’s blacker than black outside. I checked, no moon.
And then where would and 12 and 8 yo hide the body, under these conditions?

Have they officially announced they are offering a reward yet?
The last I saw they were discussing it with investigators.
I know in most cases rewards don't seem to lead to a suspect, but it can help generate tips I suppose.
It seems they are doing everything possible to try to find her.
That they are using or considering cell phone triangulation to see who was in the area is great. Imo

When ask by reporter at presser this morning he did not answer.

I actually wondered if they had snuck out (the three of them) and for some reason N didn’t want to go back (wanted to stay out and explore a bit longer?) and the two other children went back on their own. They could have had torches?

I don't have an opinion about the reward, but I have been wondering if maybe this did start out as a ransom case, hence why the parents were A. so convinced she was abducted, and B. not talking publicly.

I’ve had those thoughts. Then I think of all the money and time spent on searching the jungle.

Or something frightened them, they all ran back to the house separately and Nóra got lost.

As my post was deleted rather than snipped, repeating is it normal to offer rewards in cases like this when it's not clear a crime has been committed??

Yes, me too, but if they were instructed to not tell the authorities about the ransom request........

They will need help caring for their other 2 children, the parents look absolutely shattered and broken, poor souls .
They must be devastated. I'm not sure if I could function in a situation like that. The parents seem strong and determined. I hope they find their daughter safe, and soon.

However it does not look good. According to her parents she has never wandered off on her own. She has difficulty walking so it does not seem like she could have gotten far on her own.

Authorities have not seen any evidence that she is lost in the jungle, as far as I can tell. If she did leave on her own I would think she would have been found pretty quickly.

It sounds to me like she was abducted. Imo

Apparently not, otherwise it wouldn't have caught her attention and she wouldn't have mentioned it.

Could have been a much larger sounding rustle. I've camping in forest type areas in France. You could tell the difference between a shrew or mouse and say a dog or cat even. Maybe the noise sounded more consistent with it being a larger animal or human.

I agree. But the logistics of it are really confusing. We are definitely missing some pieces of the puzzle for an abduction to make sense.

I don't understand where the "abduction" theory has come from?

Her parents insist that's what happened from first day.

Parents. Because of her mobility issues and being very homely/ timid

Did one of the other children say that they thought she had gone out the window? Did they think that she went out of the downstairs window and if their bedroom was upstairs, were they downstairs with her, did they go out with her or did they see something on the ground floor from their bedroom which was up above? The long flight, time difference, excitement, possibly sleeping on plane or going to bed at the resort and wakening up with the heat and couldn’t sleep - I wonder if they snuck out. If they did, they could easily have split up and returned without N.

Does anyone think that it is possible that there could have been some kind of tragic accident that occurred and panic led to some kind of cover-up taking place?

The only people I see do that didn't actually experience a tragic accident but rather caused a tragic accident and in some way hurt their child. It seems rather unlikely to me. I've not yet seen anything that makes me suspicious of the parents. They seem to be truly grieving parents. Not people hiding that they somehow disposed of their child.

I'm extremely doubtful of this!
