“We will continue to search for her”. Day 9 of the search focused on Gunung Berembun, a mountain near the Dusun resort where Nora Quoirin disappeared. Malaysia’s Transport Minister @anthonyloke visited the search and rescue area today too.

Police in Malaysia say that Irish, French and British officers are on the ground here assisting in the search for Nóra but would not be drawn on how they are supporting authorities.

Is the location of her footprints heading toward close to the road?

“Cops said they found “her footprints” in the jungle, and it has now emerged she was barefoot at the time of her disappearance, it has been reported.

Nora would have walked from the taxi to the resort house and possible played around the house on the Saturday when they arrived.Perhaps that is the scent the dogs picked up.

I'm very impressed by the ongoing massive search efforts of the Malay.

It's a good thing they brought in cadaver dogs now. One has to be realistic.

I hope local LE is sharing everything they have with the Irish and British experts.

Just thinking about visibility from outside in the middle of the night.
The Q family may have left small lights on in the house so if anyone wanted to use the toilet they could navigate themselves, especially with three children I am guessing that is what they may have done. Or if it was pitch black and Nóra wanted to use the bathroom she would have had to turn on the lights. She would then be very visible from the outside but not vice versa.

The Malaysian police appear to have buried their heads in the sand on this case. There is simply next to no chance Nora would have headed out into the dead of night and wondered off into deep jungle. It appears she had no rations or anything on her feet.

Its a classic example of nations putting their vested tourist interests above conducting a thorough investigation. While there is no evidence at the moment to suggest she has been abducted, there is no evidence to say that she wasn't.

It is time to wind down the search effort in the local jungle now and look at the alternatives.

What was the mark on the window and who left it?
Where Nora's footprints end does another start?, Tire tracks?, another different set of footprints?

With the summer rains and high temperatures vital evidence could be lost to the elements if the Malaysian police continue to pursue this dead-end path.
