It’s a fair point, and I suppose none of us knows. I can imagine her being carried by the river and then kind of washing up on the edge, but that depends on the depth of the water - I don’t know if it’s a feasible chain of events or not.
I think she was found uphill from the Dusun.

Based on how the body was found really leaves two potential options:

1) - Drowned in the stream/river and clothes came off as body washed ashore

2) - Purposeful placement there of the body unclothed after she was murdered

As I have said before here, neither would surprise me at this point. God Bless the Quoirin family through this nightmare.

Having now heard about just how inaccessible the area is and the helicopter having to take Nora's body out, my guess is that the parents were not taken to the site, but directly to the hospital.

OK am editing my comment as it does seem, from the link posted above by @oceanstarryeyes that the parents did go to the scene and have now gone to the hospital.

Am confused as to whether the person who called in the find was a random person who happened to stumble across Nora, or whether he was one of the search team, out looking for Nora.

I just put it into Google Maps and Mantin is in the opposite direction to the waterfall and approx 40 mins by car away?

Google Maps

Thank you. That's what I'm seeing also. Definitely not "close", imho.

That's not actually what the police chief said in the conference. "It's too early to say" is what he actually said.

I thought that might have been exaggerated, thanks!

He also said, we have reasonable suspicion that it must be her

and

well yes we are quite, well, very certain, that it must be her but we will wait for the post mortem

Can the family request a post mortem is carried out by a European pathologist?

Could a body have floated into that location from the river?

I was just thinking that's what I'd try to do if I was them. Or get a second one done by them.
