Big Bend Cold Case Task Force investigating unsolved murder of Malique Richardson

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The Big Bend Cold Case Task Force is investigating the unsolved murder of Malique Richardson, who was shot and killed in 2022, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.

“As part of the Big Bend Cold Case Task Force’s mission, Malique’s story is now in the spotlight, and we are asking for the community’s help in finding justice,” TPD wrote in a social media post Thursday morning.

The 24-year-old was shot and killed in July 2022 at the Seminole Grand Apartment complex while visiting his girlfriend.

Two years later, an arrest has not been made yet for his death.

TPD does not believe Richardson was the intended target that night, but they do believe someone living in the complex could have “helpful information related to the case.”

The pair then heard a knock at the front door. Kimm opened it and saw a Hungry Howie's delivery man holding a pizza bag. He asked for her roommate, but she wasn't home.

After a few minutes there was another knock at the door. They assumed it was the pizza delivery man again.

"He opened the door and then all I heard was gunshots," the 23-year-old Kimm said.
