I was really really enjoying this story until the part about the man wanting to starve the horses to save money. What? Being worth millions wasn't good enough so he thought the few dollars he would save by starving his horses would make him even richer? There's a special place in he// for people like him. And I sincerily hope that at least one of his heirs donates some $$ to an equine rescue.
