It is the masked stuff that truly creeps me out -- its like boogie man I think that is why I have stayed away from clown stuff, I was , as a kid, so afraid of people breaking in

and it happened a lot in the neighborhood, jalousie windows out stuff gone, it just creeped me out, but back then I was a kid, obviously someone was in our house, someone was in the neighbor house

that's scary to a kid

have not gone there yet - but this clown stuff is getting bothersome with Halloween and this masked cr$$ on this event chilled me when I saw this breaking

Near downtown Houston.

I think some of these cases have creeped me out, too. I took a nap this afternoon and dreamt someone was trying to break into my house. I was trying to stay out of his line of vision and then suddenly he was inside, like he walked through the picture window. I ran outside with him trying to stop me and I think that's when I woke up.

Hope they catch this guy soon without anyone else getting hurt.

The victim was a man selling movies out of his car. He seems to have been targeted. Doesn't sound like an attempted robbery since the shooter walked away after shooting the victim.

I am not sure he was targeted but may have been the easiest target to shoot at the time.

I think he is still on the loose.

Here is his description which isn't that helpful in narrowing it down.

Police say the gunman is a black man, possibly in his 30s. He's about six feet tall. And he was wearing all black: jeans, t-shirt, and a hoodie with the hood up. His face was covered. And he wore gloves. He got into a dark-colored car that was waiting on McIlhenny Street. Police don't know whether he was the driver or if someone was waiting for him.

I have never been afraid of clowns. I really liked them when I went to the circus.

However; it is horrible for anyone to dress up as clowns and either scare people or hurt them.

We are living in a crazy upside down world now on so many levels. Who knew clowns would be popping up everywhere now when it first started in one community. I think so many today just have to have the limelight on them by the media and will do the most ridiculous things in order to do so. I hope they catch everyone of them.

I think drugs- selling movies on the side of the street - who buys movies any more! Near two colleges - that age range probably does not know what a DVD player is ha!


It is daylight, the wearing gloves when it is 75 degrees is weird IMO. If it is your gun why would need gloves.

Hey I don't know where some of my thoughts come from - then thinking something like Game of drones or whatever one of those violent games - was he being an action figure?

He had a car, why not do a drive by ? He had to plan- if you think about it is actually quite strange- the movies, gloves and hurling out of bushes is just bizarre.

They said he had been there pretty regularly, selling "movies" so if it was drugs they would know where he was.

I agree with poster it is odd that it is hard to find anything more on story - "manhunts" ....... gunman on the loose, no media, near downtown, no car info, oh dumb me it is Friday - news does not start again until Monday again

O/T I wish I would have closed the window completely the next story (on in background ) is someone is going around one neighborhood mutilating cats - if that is not a marinating serial killer...........................
