Just wanted to share my thoughts on these two cold cases. Both of these cold cases take place in Denver, CO
Maria Abbatiello Smith was a 30 year old woman who was last seen at the Airmen's Club at Lowry Air Force Base in November 1977, she was found in a lot in Denver on 11/26/1977. She was found approx. 20 minutes away from where she was last seen. There's been nothing on this case I could find but the CBI page on this case.
Then there's Leonila Tara Cortez Rodriguez, she was a 30 year old woman who was last seen at Gigi's Bar in August of 1996 and she was later found 10/28/1996 in a vacant field (at the time) which is approx. 20 minutes from where she was last seen.
I wonder if these two cases are connected, because if you look at the pictures of Maria and Leonila it's chilling they look so alike. The places they were last seen are 5 minutes away from each other and Maria was found 20 minutes west and Leonila was found 20 minutes east. It may be pure coincidence, but wanted to hear your thoughts on it.
