Shaine says he was the first one on the scene. I highly doubt that he would have taken her purse, then years later mention it to us. I believe he is a credible witness and honestly do believe what he says regarding MJD. I highly doubt that Shaine would have taken this girl's purse.

Shaine mentioned there was someone else there, a college student with a cell phone, who called the police then left. Then Tribal Police arrived on the scene, followed by the paramedics.

I'm assuming that since Shaine saw that there were condoms in her purse that it must have been open and either on her person or very near the vicinity of her body. Shaine says he was with her, holding her hand.

If the purse was on or near her body, maybe the paramedics lost the purse on the way to the hospital (or stole it)? Maybe someone at the hospital took it after she died? Who knows?

I wonder if any of the other witnesses (the truck drivers) could confirm or deny the appearance of a purse as her body flew out of the car?

I'm hoping a street person sees the article and recalls someone commenting on this. Maybe they heard something in 1999 or maybe someone starts talking about it now, but I'm hoping this gets the right people talking and will lead to her ID!

As for Robyn Angers - Whatever happened in her past is in her past. Based on the LE report she was kind and concerned about MJD. I think she would be an incredible assest in assisting to help ID MJD.

Another clue was a gold-colored ring with the initials DMA engraved inside of it. Couldn't that possibly mean her last name began with an A?

I think ADF and LDJ knew EXACTLY who MJD was.

And who is Kim Senegal. ADF says in court documents that she was his girlfriend, but I thought he told LE that LDJ was his "girlfriend." Probably to keep from getting a charge for pimping her out, right?

Either way, if KS is/was ADF's girlfriend, maybe SHE knows who MJD is (since I believe these three had much more than just a passing encounter on the streets).

I will see what I can find on KS and get back to you all!

Ok, on the initials. I believe they could be HER initials, IF IF IF this is a ladies ring. Danielle was a very popular name in the 80s. Maybe DMA stands for Danielle Marie A.??? Or Dana Marie A.???? I wonder if there are any missing teenagers (OR WOMEN!) that have those given names???

I guess this is kind of rushing the gun, since we can't confirm/dispute this theory until we see a pic of it and determine whether or not is't a ladies or a man's ring.

It could also be the initials of her pimp if it's a man's ring!

I think she did it herself. It's too misshapen for someone to be sitting in front of her trying to tattoo her. I would think that if she did it herself, she wouldn't have the best viewing angle to get it straight...

I remember back in high school we used to break apart blue ball point pens and try to tattoo ourselves. It didn't work because we were too chicken to go deep enough, but I do have a blue dot on my ankle still.

Wow, the heart is pretty crude. Tough to tell if the almost straight line on the right was an attempt to be half a heart sort of like a broken heart. That was my first impression. It's very difficult to read the intials on the ring, it appears to have been damaged with her fall. It looks like a ladies ring to me. The size would be important, if it is small, perhaps it was a childhood ring two small to wear on her finger.

I looked up popular baby names too ( great minds think alike! :blowkiss: )
Dina or Deana were also popular names in my area about that time. Spelled with the I- for most Italian or Greek families, Deana for non.
There were also still quite a few traditional names, such as Diedra ( dee dee ) Dawn, Deborah, Dianne, Dianna.

I also think the ring appears as DAM rather than DMA. I think Ann, or Anne is the most common middle name with an A.

GOOD FIND! It looks pretty much like the same exact ring!

I wonder if we can get what size it was from the detective. Maybe her pimp gave it to her but it was too large for her to wear so she decided to wear it on her necklace? Maybe it was her mother's ring?

I was checking out the script types they offer and the script on this ring is the exact same as what Jewelbasket.com calls "Silverware Script".

It doesn't look like "Monogram Script" to me, as the middle initial appears to be the exact same size as the rest of the letters. With monogram script, they suggest that the last name initial be the larger middle letter.

So if the ring was done in "monogram script", the initial of the last name would be the larger middle initial, making the initials DAM, but since I believe it's done in "silverware script" the initial in the middle is probably her middle name... so the initials would be DMA, just as engraved on the ring.
