Mummert asks the potential jurors if anyone would like to hear Sievers testify. After some hesitation from jurors, Mummer shouts, 'Yes we all do!'

Mummert making it clear to potential jurors they cannot hold that against Sievers if he does not testify @winknews

Mummert now asking jurors if a witness was offered something in exchange for testimony and if they would weigh that to determine if the witness is reliable.

Curtis Wayne Wright was offered a plea deal in exchange for testimony @winknews

Defense Attorney Michael Mummert offers a moment of levity while explaining to jurors a Defenant’s decision not to testify can’t be held against them...despite the natural urge to want to hear both sides.

Defense is now sharing their witness list. As we've known based on prior court hearings, much of their list matches the state attorney's office list for prosecution of the case. #trialtweets #NBC2CourtCoverage #TeresaSievers #MarkSieversontrial

Defense is reading their witness list now, which includes Taylor Shoemaker, Angela Wright, and Dr. Mark Petritis.

So, Tay Sho is still getting state assistance, jmo @IQuestion

Defense just finished questioning the group of 37 remaining potential jurors. Attorneys will now get a chance to argue for cause strikes and use a certain number of preemptive strikes to whittle the pool down

We need 14 jurors left after this process to begin opening statements

What about supplying a "Jury Bus" for those with legitimate issues concerning transportation? Some may really want to serve, but may have medical, financial, or navigational issues. Some may have fear of getting lost, or they may share a vehicle with their family. Think about the parking spaces that would save for the rest of us who want to show up.

What about a "Volunteer Juror" pool? There are potential jurors who are dying to serve out there. Also, students in the legal field would enjoy attending so they can study prosecutor/defense tactics. Maybe they should have to attend x amount of death penalty cases as part of a course, or for extra credit?

Maybe include an endorsement on your driver's license, which would be yanked if you commit certain infractions?

I know I'm not the only one salivating out here!
