I agree and nothing about that seemed right from a viewer perspective.

I always liked her reporting and I always thought she did fine. Something was very odd about the way she was let go. I took it as Matt didnt want her there and the higher ups just did whatever Matt wanted.

I have never liked Matt's arrogant style of reporting and have never understood why some liked him.

Even Curry stated she felt she was in a "boy's club atmosphere" while she was there. She needs to head back to the today show!

I saw it as the Rio's games..... but until someone gives a definite, who knows which is true or not or maybe it happened in both places with the same person.. How awful for the victim... glad she came forward if it is a she!

I just saw him on TV about a week ago (maybe less) on the Today show...his beard, or facial hair, or whatever it is called was so strange looking....like a hairy ring around his whole mouth. I looked at him and wondered if he were going through some type of crisis, or had gone off the deep end.

Years ago Lauer and Katie Couric made the program! Two young people, seriously involved in their careers and doing outstanding programs. Their special interviews were always good, especially Katie's.

When Anne Curry came aboard, she was an entirely different personality than Matt or Katie. It took time to accept her and her excellent skills at journalism. IIRC, it was about this time that Matt started showing his ego and realizing his pull to the American women. Yes, with hair, his sharp dressing, he was a delight to see on TV.

I remember years ago when he and his wife separated due to his womanizing. He really was against the divorce and IIRC, was the one who fought to save the marriage. After that, we seldom heard of Matt and his shenanigans.

After all the rumors of Matt being behind the firing of Anne Curry, I saw him with a new set of eyes. I saw the egotistical, stuck-up snob who thought he ruled the world and he could do no wrong. Anne Curry was stabbed in the back for what reason? The big wigs of NBC deserve this slap in the face of losing their STAR
WONDER boy that they let make decisions. Of course, the big wigs may not be the ones that were on board when the Curry scenario happened. Karma does get you!

What 59 year old man who is famous, rich, has a smooth come on to the women, (I guess), charm, interesting, can talk to a stranger easily and comfortably, is going to sit in his apt in New York City nightly during the week?? Yup, none! He has had years of practice to build his practice with women to perfection - almost.

Good riddance Matt! You are a human being like the rest of us.
I do hope your wife gives you a kick out too. She deserves half of what you have, and a chance to live the second part of her life without your interference. You ruined Anne Curry's life, now it is your turn - difference is you ruined your own life!

And if it were just that industry, it may be ok, but they are out there in any industry that men have power over women. I would bet that there is lots more of this going on in small employee businesses where the woman has to work to feed her children and the male boss has economic power over her. If she makes a fuss, she is seen as a trouble maker and will find it hard to get other employment.
