Maybe she didn't abandon the car - Gas cans will solve the case.

What we know or can assume:

1. Tony says she left early in the morning. Presumably in her car. She had to have left before 6:30am to have dropped the car off. Why get up so early? Planned to do something. Maybe she wanted cover of darkness. She could have dropped the car off on the 26th, evening or very early morning and gotten a ride to Tony's then gotten a ride the morning of the 27th by an unknown individual, and unknown to Tony. I'm going to assume she drove her car the morning of the 27th.

2. ~7:00am Amscot employee clearly remembers a clearly visible white car near the dumpster in front. If you see pictures of the spot, you will see how it would be easy to notice.

3. She calls Amy sometime between 10:00am and 11:30 or texts her about the smell in the car. I'm assuming she's either returned from getting freezer foots, or maybe went to Amy's ahead of 7:00am, or somehow got a ride to her parents house and sneaked in.

4. Sometime between ~11:00am or maybe closer to 12 noon, Tony picks her up at the Amscot lot. She may have been picked up at 11:00am and text'd Amy after while in the car with Tony or back at the apartment. Or more likely she was using her phone while waiting for Tony, which means she would have been picked up after 11:34 on the 27th. She also somehow told Amy that Tony had picked her up. And Amy tells this to JG.

5. She leaves the car there with her purse (with no wallet) and her keys on the front seat in view. Unless she has an extra key, she cannot get back in the car if she wanted to. Why does she need gas cans? on 28-29th? Was the body transfered to another vehicle?

This tends to indicate she had some sort of help.

Please help! This business about the keys being in the car...The ONLY person I have ever heard make mention of this is CA. George brought keys to open the car at the lot. The impound guys did not open the car because it was locked. Can someone please point a link to any document that states definitely that the keys were in the car!!! I believe this to be an incorrect assumption as I have not been able to find this info in the documents!

(This could be a red-herring like the whole "frozen foods" discussion in the AL thread.)

There is nothing anywhere that definitely states the keys were left in the car. This is something that has just been thrown out over and over. There is also nothing, other than a statement by Cindy, about KC's purse being left in the car (pet peeve of mine) and in the newly released documents it states in Lee's interview KC's wallet at least was in the stuff he retrieved from TonE's house.

I'm not able to find anything other than blog comments that state the keys were on the front seat. Also they comments I see say the keys were in it, easy to steal. Which doesn't make sense, why would the trunk need George to open. The keys are looking like a red herring. But the purse seems like it was likely on the front seat. That would just be coincidence. It's not really an uncommon location for a purse.

exactly! So, since her car was parked there and noticed by the oncoming Amscott manager at 0700 then two guys (if we believe what Casey tells us) helped push her car into that space before seven am (the manager only reported seeing the car...not people) and she sat around picking her nose until 1100 to call? No way! She was up to something and we will figure it out. Does anyone in the area know what else is around that area? I believe that Blanchard park is right there...she very well could have walked to that park, dumped or burried some other evidence like her other phone, mama's CLOTHES, etc... perhaps even taken a shower at the YMCA THAT is along that park trail and by the playground Caylee used to play at. Also, frozen chicken and freezer pops are common in the grab~it~quick section of most convenience stores. Is there one around that area perhaps?? Another thing I just want to add...and it is only my opinion, but Casey is not normal and she is not smart. She did a lot of very stupid things and her stories do not add up. She will be caught!

Yes-Yes -Yes-

I don't think she picked up the Frozen Food at a store though because Tony said it wasn't in store bags.

I'm thinking along the lines that after she left the car at amscot she went to her mothers house to take a shower & she grabbed the food from the freezer on her way out.

This is a long shot but do you know the little supermarket member ship cards that you keep on a key chain & the clerk scans it so you can get the sale price?

They also keep track of everything that you purchase from that store.

If Cindy Anthony had one LE could check her grocery purchases from the last few months.

If they find the exact same items on her shopping history that Casey had when Tony picked her up that would almost prove that Casey went home on the morning of the 27th & took those items out of her own fridge.

And if she did how could GA not know she was there?

Well for damn sure I would have to expect LE would be obtaining and reviewing and any all nearby gas station, store video's for the 26th-27th. Perhaps catch a walking Casey down the road or going in a bathroom.

How did she get to her Mother's after leaving the car? Bus?

Thats the million dollar question

Did she have a ride? Was there a second car?

When George tried to start the car it was out of gas so he went to get his own gas cans (from first document dump). None of them knew it was out of gas until they tried to start it. But George must have planned ahead....knowing his daughter and her issues with cars, gas, and breaking into the family shed... (interesting family, eh?)

Did the owner of the Tow Yard witness this or are we taking GA at his word?

I really want to know what proof there is that the Car was really out of Gas.

Either GA or Lee is lying about the incident on the 24th when GA found the Gas cans in Caseys trunk.

GA gave his account during an interview with Greta VS & it completely differs from Lee's account.

Lee says that Casey threw the Gas cans at GA angrily - GA said he found them in the trunk

Who's lying & why?

My point is if GA is lying about the Gas cans in the trunk maybe he's lying about the car being out of gas too

Or maybe he already knew it was out of gas & thats why he brought the gas cans with him.

Maybe Casey left the Car at amscot so it would be stolen but if she did there would have to be gas in right?

How can you steal a car with no gas?

This is so confusing but somethings not right.......

WHAT ARE WE MISSING?

There is nothing in any official documment that says that there were keys in Casey's car. GA used a key to open the car at the tow yard as per the man at the yard in his statement. (orginal documents)

Tony L. statement on July 22 2008
Document Page 23/1014 Transcript Page 23 Line 13-20
TL: No Child with her at all. She had some groceries and uh, some clothes.
EE: Where the groceries from?
TL: Uh, they weren’t actually groceries from the store. It was from her house. She had some freezer pops and like some Tyson chicken, or something to make for dinner that night.
EE: From Grandma’s house
TL: Yeah because it wasn’t in any bags. Uh, it looked like normal plastic bags

There is no statement from GA yet. The interview on GVS GA says he opened the trunk and the gas can where in there.

LA statement says that Casey opened the trunk to put in clothes and gave her father the gas cans back with a an 'attitude'

There is a difference in version from what LA told LE that GA did concerning the gas cans in the back of Casey car on June 24th to what GA told GVS what he (GA) did concerning the gas cans in the back of Casey car on JUne 24th.

Yes! I thought this also....we don't really know it ran out of gas AND I think if two guys helped her push the car we would know their names by now!

OH my God. Of course! This never even occurred to me. I had considered that something was "hinky" about George showing up with gas and putting it in without ever even attempting to start it up first, but THIS makes perfect sense to me. Nobody will ever know if the car was, in fact, out of gas now, OR if this was a carefully coreographed dance of "let's muddy it all up so that nothing is for certain". Either, Casey had texted or called her dad and told him she had run out of gas and had to abandon the car and he just pretended not to know about it until they got the registered letter, OR he knows much more than he is letting on and is involved much more deeply than anyone could possibly imagine.

Start with Lee's interview with LE. He said that 31 days counting back on the calender was the 15th of June, ABSOLUTELY, so THIS was the last date that CASEY saw Caylee, so how is it that George saw her on the 16th? He likely did not. Then on the 24th he said he had filed a police report about stolen gas, and had found the gas cans in Casey's trunk that very afternoon, but Lee tells us that George told HIM that he had gotten the gas cans back from Casey in a DIFFERENT way than what he has told on his media interviews. Lee said Casey threw her stuff in the trunk and grabbed out the gas cans and slammed the trunk and came toward his dad and said "Here's your f'ing gas cans" and he did not get anywhere NEAR the trunk.

We are MISSING something important...something VERY important and it is something to do with these gas cans...

I am on board with the belief that the car was actually left on the 26th and nobody noticed it until the manager of the morning shift came in as the lot would have been quite empty at 7:00 am...

  • #292
I have just listened and listened to Lee's interview concerning the RETURNING OF THE GAS CANS, and a LIGHTBULB went off in my head: the decomp smell was ALREADY in the car, and it was very likely ON THE GAS CANS...George probably SMELLED those gas cans and KNEW that something was amiss...

  • #293
I'd think Cindy and George would really have thought something amiss about Casey coming by getting lots of her clothes and gas cans but nothing at all for Caylee. I hope this is the appropriate thread, but when TL was with Casey when they got the gas cans on the 20th, what were they driving? I can't remember from the documents.

  • #294
I believe they were driving Casey's car. George either made up the story about finding the gas tanks or he found something bad whenever he open the trunk. Maybe he didn't find a body but he probably knew what the smell was.

George never got near the trunk according to what Lee testified to in his statement. Casey got the gas cans out and basically hurled them at him and said there are your f'ing gas cans". BUT the gas cans WERE in the trunk and THAT SMELL that they are describing as ATROCIOUS would have stuck to those gas cans just like it stick to everything else in the car, including Casey's pants which they WASHED...who KNOWS what else was ACTUALLY in that car?

I think more than just Casey knows what was in that trunk or they have a good idea what was in that trunk. I honestly don't know how they couldn't. Casey must be a very good brainwasher

I honestly think they had been dealing with her crimes within the family and friends group for so many years, that she broke them down until they just did not know how to deal with it, and just continued to clean up her messes, and are continuing down that exact same path with her still...

  • #299
I believe they feel obligated to do that. It is partially their fault that she ended up the way she did which makes it partially their responsibility to clean up for her. She obviously isn't afraid of them or she wouldn't have been doing what she was doing. I see it the other way around. I believe they are actually afraid of Casey

I agree. They probably are. I mean, the way she slings around the F word with her mom and her dad shows CLEARLY the level of disrepsect that she has for them. I have 6 children, and not one of them would stoop so low as to use that word TOWARD me as Casey does to her parents. One, my children know that it would result in PAIN in all likelihood were they to ever disrespect me in that manner, and Two, and I think more importantly, is that they HAVE too much respect for me to ever even consider speaking to me in that fashion...and I have a grown son, and 2 teenage daughters who do use the ocassional profanity, and are "trying out" using some of the more common words around me, but not TOWARD me if you know what I mean...
