Glad he's done. Wish he had done this without killing the Judge, what point did that serve? I pray for his victims and the Judge's loved ones.

They were traumatized for years....the memory of his cruelty will always stock them, always haunt their dreams. Without a a great deal of healing, they will always sleep with fear, and awaken with it.

Not only that, but she should be able to get Social Security survivor's benefits for the kids and not have to worry about whether he'll pay child support.

Better protection MUST happen... murder and murder/suicide are just so so prevalent today. Why cannot they have "teams" of judges assigned to a case, so no singular attention is given to a particular name???

While authorities have not confirmed how Argote died, Albert said the department is having conversations on how to better protect other judges from violence.

Right. So a few people discussed the case and came to a consensus. That’s a good idea.

Whatever demons they face, whatever demons they might be, why why why do these people take out innocent lives on their way out?

Because abusers want control.

It looks like he had all the warning signs of an abuser according to the Power and Control Wheel.

Quite frankly, I was pleasantly surprised that Judge Wilkinson recognized the severity of the abuse. So many judges don't. What a horrible loss.

Judge Wilkinson recognized the level of abuse and control, did the right thing, and died for it. He instantly became an example of how very difficult it can be for victims to escape their abusers. Usually the abuser keeps his abusive nature well enough hidden from the outside world, but once thwarted the abuser will stop at nothing. A judge wasn't safe.

It speaks to the fear that victims of DV and IPV live with daily. Because there is no end to what a thwarted narc will do. Not even murder of a court official. How then should a victim, often trapped by financial dependence and a tattered self esteem that has been whittled away to zero, escape?
