Headless body of woman found in Southwest Baltimore; hands, feet also missing

"The dismembered body of a woman was found Monday in Southwest Baltimore, police confirmed.

Two employees of a nearby company walking through the 1600 block of Morrell Park Ave., a dead-end street in the Morrell Park neighborhood, reported seeing what they believed to be a body around 10:30 a.m.

When police arrived, they found the body under a “some type of tarp,” a spokesman said. The body was decomposing, and was missing the head, feet and hands.

Police have not been able to identify the victim yet. Because the circumstances of the death are unknown, the case is being treated as a “suspicious death.”

I live right down the street from here, I am just curious if anyone has heard anything else about it or who it could be? I know they found body parts somewhere else I'm just unsure if anyone may have any updates on this sad, scary, tragedy that had happened to this woman. I am praying & hoping someone gets some justice soon also that they find who did this horrific thing to her.

I just wish the violence would stop, so many prostitutes, tricks, active addicts all over Baltimore, so many people are taking advantage of the weak. I do not understand what anyone gets from taking sometimes life let alone someone who was struggling so bad in life anyways. You get nothing from it. So sick.

Praying

The Baltimore Sun's writer described the body as absent of head, feet & hands.
Yes definitely didn't have her head, feet out hands so she couldn't be identified at all!

Investigators looking at link between headless torso found in Baltimore, foot found in Prince George’s County
''Police in Prince George’s County and Baltimore confirm that they are working together to explore whether body parts found in their respective jurisdictions are linked to the same case.

A body part was found off a secluded road in Brandywine on Sept. 3, 2020; Prince George’s County police say it was a human foot, found by a citizen. Then, on Nov. 30, a woman’s torso was found wrapped in a tarp on a dead-end street in a neighborhood in Southwest Baltimore’s Morrell Park neighborhood.

City police have been unable to determine the identity of the victim after nearly two months, and have release no further information.

But the two agencies confirmed they were working together on the two grisly discoveries.

Though the body part in Brandywine was discovered first, Prince George’s detectives “have uncovered no evidence suggesting a crime occurred in our jurisdiction related to the discovery of the body part last September,” police said.

Anyone with information was asked to call Prince George’s County detectives at 301-516-2512 or Baltimore homicide detectives at 410-396-2100.''

I hope more details are released about this case. Been in my mind for a while and doesn't seem like there's any progress.

@Caring1 Hey could you post the current list of NamUs exclusions for this Jane Doe? I would greatly appreciate it.

Always late to the party ,I am just wondering about the hair extensions. Why are those there.? Like the same weird it would be had they found shoes there!

Hair extensions are just merely attached to the scalp or hair and not within the scalp itself. I'm not sure if she was dismembered at the discovery site or elsewhere, but my guess is that some of her extensions fell out during the decapitation.

This may explain the holes in the shirt and sports bra, since both of them have holes at the top, in which case possibly the neckline. Perhaps she was dismembered with a knife or other object capable of making punctures.

Again, there aren't that many details given about this case, so it's all up to speculation, but this is my theory.

Head and hands I can understand in relation to making identification hard, but feet? Did this woman had something particular with her feet, like webbed toes, missing one or more toes, a tattoo? Or was it some sadistic streak or something done to make sure she fitted into?

You wonder if in the mean time they were able to rule in or out that this foot belonged to the torso. Considering the time that went by I go with a "no connection".

My guess? She had painted nails, fingers and toes, and wanted to be extra careful not to leave any identifiable clues to her appearance.

Back in the 2000 decade I twice (several years apart) hunted waterfowl with Baltimore police officers....one active duty, one recently retired. Both of them told me, separately, the same thing....Baltimore is lost. Unrecoverable. Incorrigible. The police do what they can, but they see no possibility that Baltimore will ever become a safe, livable city again.
