MD - Baltimore Jail Corruption (BGF Gang Activity)

On Wednesday, I wrote about the Baltimore City Detention Center, and how it had been effectively taken over by a prison gang called the Black Guerrilla Family (BGF). Recently, 25 people, including 13 prison employees, were indicted for their alleged roles in the BGF's robust drug business and other criminal enterprises. Those 13 corrections officials were all female, which surprised me—I had assumed that men were only guarded by other men. But, as it turns out, female guards are relatively common in men’s prisons.

Interesting. Under current thinking the perpetrator of sex in prison is always considered to the guard or employee.

It seems White has been moved out of that jail. And many of the others are in the process of being moved.

Prison Gang Allegedly Targeted Female Guards With 'Insecurities'

An affidavit in the case says BGF recruits were specifically told to target female corrections officers with "low self-esteem, insecurities, and certain physical attributes," according to the Baltimore Sun. The idea was that these officers could be easily corrupted.

Alleged Prison Gang Leader Pleads Not Guilty

A corrections officer and an alleged prison gang leader have made their initial appearances in federal court in Baltimore.

Tiffany Linder also plead not guilty. She and 22 others have been released. I guess on bond.

Most Wanted: Black Guerilla Family gang member wanted in murder

According to law enforcement authorities, Keenan Victor and other members of the Black Guerilla Family laid in wait for Arnold G. Fagans Jr. outside the victim's apartment on the night of Jan. 12, 2012. When Fagans appeared, Victor gunned him down in cold blood, authorities said.
