The decedent was found in a wooded area near a drainage ditch on the property of a refuse center/trash service company, then known as Georgetown Express, at 6707 Eads Street.

No comparisons listed in Namus. I assume it was something in the autopsy that indicated abuse of alcohol, but with a PMI of up to 8 weeks can they actually still tell something like that?

Depends how it was determined. I think originally they thought Dawn Olanick (Princess Doe) was intoxicated when she was killed, but later it was determined the alcohol was created postmortem through the fermentation of her blood due to decomposition. If it was something like that, I'd be wary of labelling this as alcohol related, but they also said this body was mummified. Maybe if her liver was intact enough to show damage from alcohol, that would still be considered a legitimate finding? It's hard to know how much weight to give it without knowing how they arrived at that conclusion.

Cirrhosis (scarring) of the liver would be my guess. Very easily seen on examination of the liver, even after dehydration, due to the liver tissue changing into scar tissue. It's difficult to develop cirrhosis without being an alcoholic. Other causes are obesity, hepatitis infection, and chronic use of NSAID pain relievers; however these all take wayyy longer to cause cirrhosis than alcohol does and leave other traces in the body. A bottle of wine a day can cause cirrhosis in just a couple of years. This gal was likely in her early twenties, so there wasn't much time for the other causes.
