The Westminster Police Department is looking for an 84-year-old man who suffers from dementia and was reported missing Monday morning.

Cesar Mesa was reported missing from the unit block of Bond Street in Westminster, according to a news release.

Police were still looking for him as of 11 Monday night, coordinating to work with three Chesapeake Search Dogs and one Maryland State Police K-9 according to Chief Jeff Spaulding, who confirmed that the helicopter flying over Westminster was assisting with the search.bbm



Mesa is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 6 inches, 140-pounds. He is bald with brown eyes and was last seen wearing a brown leather coat.

According to the release, he was last seen around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night.

Mesa is not currently on medication for his dementia.

He is originally from Florida, but has been living with a relative in Westminster for about a week and a half and has no other relatives or friends in the Maryland area.

Mesa is not familiar with the area and it is unknown where he would travel because he has no means of transportation.

They now believe he may be attempting to travel to the New York City area where he has previously lived.

Missing Florida man who has dementia found in Baltimore

An 84-year-old man who was reported missing Monday in Westminster was found safe in downtown Baltimore on Tuesday, police said.
