QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY, Md. -- Investigators said a father left two children in a vehicle for nearly 30 minutes while he was inside a grocery store and that the vehicle's motor was running.

Maryland State Police said Daniel Nathan Lilly, 30, of Stevensville, has been charged with two counts of neglect of a minor. One of the children is 5 years old, and the other is less than 1 year old, police said.

Just brilliant.

It would have been bad enough if he left the kids in the car unattended. Nope he left the car on. Ya know in case they got cold. It would have been bad enough if he just sprang in for a quick item. Nope genius does an entire food order. Leaves a five year old and one year old in a running vehicle for a half hour. Just excellent.
