October 2, 2022, a well liked community Internal Medicine Physician from Westminster, MD was murdered. He was reported missing by his wife in the evening, around the same time a body matching his description was found a few miles away along the road wrapped up in a family home rug. The body that was found had been stabbed 38 times and decapitated. His head was found near the area. While at the residence, police noticed blood and broken items in the bathroom. His son had apparently returned earlier with the physician’s vehicle. After a search warrant was obtained, they found hair, flesh, and blood on tools, a hatchet, and the physician’s vehicle bumper. The son, Ravi Pansuriya, 29, was arrested after clothing believed to be his, was found with blood on them. Later there was video footage obtained of Ravi purchasing the Ozark hatchet at Walmart earlier. It may be worth mentioning that Dr. Pansuriya was placed on probation earlier in 2022 for inappropriate relations with patients. Ravi’s court date is scheduled for 5/2023.
