Anne Arundel County police found human remains in a wooded area along Elvaton Road near Silent Breeze Court in Glen Burnie Monday, police said.

Officers responded to the area at about 11:13 a.m. after a maintenance worker discovered the body. The homicide unit responded to conduct an investigation.

Preliminary examination leads detectives to believe the remains may be that of a female that had been dead for several weeks, police said.

Police: Human Remains Found In 2 Places In Glen Burnie Belong To Woman Aged 25 To 35

The autopsy revealed the woman was between 25 and 35 years old, around five-foot-one and was missing several teeth, police said. She may have been wearing a light-colored tank top.

Detectives have gotten several tips about who the woman may be, but so far she has not been publicly identified.

Police were first called to the area of Elvaton Road and Tall Pine Court Monday morning for a report of a decomposing body. On Tuesday, human remains were found in the 400 block of Glen Mar Road, about one mile from the first site.

Police have identified the human remains found in Glen Burnie in late September as belonging to a missing homeless woman. Stacey Deavers, 40, had been reported missing October 2 after her mother told police she hadn’t been seen since August 30.
