PRAYING this beautiful girl is found SOON!

(I cannot agree more with the PP in regards to ALL schools needing to be on board with alerting parents of their children not being at school- prior to afternoon/evening).

I'm so glad the FBI is on this! I'm holding out hope out this one.

Yes ,so did VA schools in my county. Something about stocking up for snow days.
Has anyone given a description of the car seen driving arround?

On the Find J page, under the top post, there is a comment from L.Y. from about 6 hours ago talking about the type of vehicle. The response was that they are not discussing any leads because they do not want to compromise the investigation.

Great to see LE and the FBI taking this so seriously.

Her case is trending on FB, so hopefully that helps to bring some leads.

Praying for J.

Wow, I can't believe the school could be so lax and not contact her mother about her absence. Over here the school will ring up about my high schoolers if they are not in by 9.30-10am. Her mother must be frantic! Hope she is home soon.

Most schools will call at the end of the day and report that the child had not been at school that day if u did not call them in absent.

to me that's too Late!

Is it odd to anyone else that there was school on Veterans Day? Idk why but my first thought was .... Was there really school that day and was that her actual destination ? Wondering if mom didn't know it was a holiday and jasmine took advantage of that to do her own thing without telling mom?

My kids had school on Veterans Day.

I hope this beautiful girl is found soon! She does look older than 12 in some of those pics.

With today's technology, it would be nice if schools had some kind of swipe system with student ID cards that auto-generated a message/text to the parents if the kids don't check in by 🤬🤬🤬 time. I realize that would be a very costly undertaking, but I just don't think very big schools have the manpower to make ALL the calls to missing parents by 9AM :(. My kids go to a very small school and I have received a call early when my child was out sick and I forgot to call, but it's a small school with not many parents to call.

I hope she's ok and some news comes out today. In regards to the school, our schools do use robo calls to notify any absence. Also…we have had years when there was school on Veteran's Day. They would schedule assemblies and activities geared towards the holiday vs. a day off.

Here, only the high schools use robocalls but the grade schools call the parent contact by 10am. As it should be. It shouldn`t take a missing child to get these schools to take safety more seriously.

Perry Hall Middle does use a swipe card system. The student swipes in for the day and teachers can see if a student missing from class has swiped in for the day to mark them as cutting class or if they didn't swipe in and are absent for the day. No word yet on exactly how she was considered absent, either by not swiping in that morning or by not attending classes.

It's not a perfect system, because a student can give their card to a friend who can swipe them in for the day. They may miss all classes that day, but I don't know if that triggers the absent call, or if teacher just consider their class skipped. It sounds like she wasn't at school at all on Tuesday, but I haven't seen that specifically confirmed in MSM yet.

I wish there was some kind of update or progress released.

She really does resemble her mother. This is my worst fear; I feel so deeply for those parents :(. Anyone familiar with the area know if there's any likelihood of any CCTV cameras being in the area?

How far would her walk to school be, approximately?

Also, with her being active on social media, I wonder if she met someone on there and planned to meet. I'm sure LE is looking at that angle as well.

In the news video, it said 1/2 mile to school.

Bump. This one is bothering me a lot. I can't help but feel that she would be getting a lot more attention if she were a petite blond.

I am afraid for her
She is so young

All of our schools, with the exception of the city public schools, were in session on Veteren's Day.

I've read a lot of comments on articles where people keep stating they think she looks older. I can see that in some pictures, but regardless, a 12 year old child disappeared, and needs to be found. It's getting colder, so I have to wonder if someone offered her a ride to school? I remember walking to school in Lansdowne many mornings and wishing I had a ride. I'm praying she is found safe and soon.
