ANNAPOLIS, MD — Annapolis Police have released the photo of a man deemed critically missing, along with a car he may be driving, in hopes that tips from the public can help locate him. Joseph Blue, 25, was last seen at 7 p.m. on Jan. 11 in the 600 block of Americana Drive.

Authorities says there are factors that make Blue a critically missing pers. He is 6'02" and weighs 200 pounds.

Police say Blue may be driving an orange 2019 VW Jetta with VA reg. UWF2115. It is pictured here:

I am just curious, what makes someone "critically missing"?

The term is also applied to anyone deemed suicidal, or if there’s evidence of foul play. In some states, anyone 18 and over is reported critically missing if they suffer from a neurodegenerative disease such as Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s, or if they have a mental or physical impairment or serious illness.

Thank you. I was confused on what the difference was.

unfortunately, I believe people use this term to try to get more media attention for the case even if he doesnt have a "critcal" health problem. The shame part is that its sometimes something that has to be done to get media attention.

I once read that a urgent medical issue in a missing person's case was a food allergy.

None of this is meant as a slight to Joeseph, I wonder what it is in his case.

I hope this young man is found soon.

The comments under LE fb is very concerning. Question is, was it him or someone else driving... I hope it was him & he’s found safe soon.
