Missing Person Reported in Aberdeen: Police

The Aberdeen Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing person who lives in Aberdeen. Mark Kenneth Dickinson, 56, was last seen at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26, according to a report from Aberdeen police.

A duffel bag tucked under an arm, Mark Kenneth Dickinson chatted briefly with a neighbor one afternoon in August, before walking north on Edmund Street in Aberdeen a short distance from his home. The conversation marked the last time anyone saw Dickinson.

Aberdeen police have been searching for Dickinson since Aug. 26, without success. On Tuesday, the department reached out to the public once again for assistance in locating the missing man.

Dickinson was last seen talking to a neighbor in front of his home on Edmond Street before leaving for a walk.

Yeah, this is just really sad. His daughter and other family members kept posting Missing Person flyers all over creation around the time this happened. She came in my mother's coffee shop and asked if they could display the poster in the shop's front window. It was there for months before my mom decided to take it down. She figures that wherever he is, he doesn't look like that anymore (like the photo). And, thinks it was definitely a suicide. Given the time that has elapsed, he would have been in touch at this point, and the prevailing opinion is that he took his life somewhere in the woods.
