Details of Disappearance
Tilman was last seen in Annapolis, Maryland on September 28, 2017. She has never been heard from again. Few details are available in her case.

There are a few posts on October 8th, 2017 on there and one from September 29th. So, a bit confused by the missing date.

If you go through her FB to September 6th, 2017 you will find the "love of her life" at the time. He is married to someone else but I haven't determined when that occurred.

If you go to Maryland Court case search and look her up you will find eviction cases that involve her and that individual.

There is also a divorce filing from January 2017 where she attempted to divorce her husband who lives in West Virginia. That was dismissed 6 months later for lack of jurisdiction. So, at the time of her disappearance it is quite possible that she was still legally married and her married name would be Megan Baker.

Address history shows addresses that match to the divorce filing in Maryland and her husbands address as a prior address as well.

Wow, an entire year passes, a relationship w a married man, and an eviction. She left behind beloved things a mother would cherish, and she was in a custody dispute. It's not rocket science, but possibly very bad investigative tactics. Where is her phone, or laptop, ie digital devices?

The court records linked earlier in the thread also have her pleading guilty to charges of child abuse, neglect and reckless endangerment in 2013 AND 2014. That may have prompted the custody issue but it's NOT the first one. The court record search also showed a custody dispute in 2000 - 18 years ago. Does she have an adult child she lost custody of because her daughter was under the age of 10 when she went missing? Also troubling is the fact that family said she was developmentally disabled and couldn't live on her own.

The remains of Megan Leah Tilman, 43, of Rockwell Court, were found Oct. 18, 2017, in the area of Holly Drive and Chesapeake Drive where they had washed ashore.

Investigators released Tilman's name on April 10 after DNA tests of the remains and her family members confirmed her identity. Tilman was reported missing to the Annapolis Police Department on Nov. 1, 2017, by a family member.

On Feb. 14, 2019, authorities said the medical examiner concluded Tilman died from apparent trauma with the manner of death being homicide.

Parks said at the time her cousin was developmentally disabled. Jim Tilman, her father, said his daughter had been misled by others in the past.

“Megan Tilman reportedly can be easily manipulated and has been described as having borderline intellectual functioning,” Annapolis police wrote in a 2018 release.

Fears arose when Megan — who had two daughters, Paris and Grace, and a son, Ceci — failed to show up in court for a child custody hearing, WMAR-TV reported in 2020. Rice and Stallings left town not long after Megan disappeared.

Meanwhile, two weeks before the missing persons report was filed with Annapolis police, authorities were called on Oct. 18, 2017, to the scene of human remains found on the Maryland shore in Shady Side, police said.

The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide, Anne Arundel County Police said in a news release.

After pairing the discovery with the missing persons report, police collected DNA samples from Megan's relatives and were able to identify Megan as the victim.

On Wednesday, more than four years later, authorities in Arizona arrested Rice, 46, and Stallings, also known as Christina Gail Harnish, 45, as suspects in Megan's murder. They were picked up in a homeless camp by Pima County Sheriff's deputies, who learned from Anne Arundel County police that the pair was in the Tucson area, reports AzFamily.com.

Both are being held in Arizona for extradition to Maryland, where they will be formally charged and have the opportunity to enter pleas. Attorneys for the pair were not immediately identified.

"There's no way to describe my emotions," Megan's father said after the arrests, reports WMAR. "It was just like a huge brick had been lifted off me."

"No one deserves what Megan went through," he said.

Anne Arundel County Police Lt. Jacklyn Davis said that "The two that have been arrested for this offense had been on detective's radar from the beginning, and like I said, sometimes it's that old movie line, 'It's not what you know, it's what you can prove,'" according to WMAR.

Megan's aunt, Shannon Perry, told the TV station: "We kind of knew we were getting close to an arrest but it actually happening was pretty amazing. It's kind of [like] we're able to breathe again."
