This is heartbreaking, and so senseless. Michelle and her son are from the Houston area. Her son had been awarded a spot on Navy’s football team, and she brought him to Annapolis to start his career there.

The jury found Angelo Harrod, 31, of Annapolis, guilty on all charges against him, including a first-degree murder charge in the killing of Michelle Cummings,... [snip] Harrod was also found guilty on attempted first-degree murder of the couple in an SUV -- R.J. Atwell and Breonna Barnes -- who the prosecution said were the main targets. He was also found guilty of first- and second-degree assault against Atwell and Barnes, and guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit assault and several firearms charges.
