Charles County Public Schools says it’s aware of the incident, releasing the following statement that reads in part:

“Two of our students were reportedly horseplaying in a school bathroom when one student’s jacket got caught on a stall door hook. The student was not able to free themselves and the other student involved was also not able to help them. This student left the bathroom to seek help from staff and reported the incident to administrators.”

A lot of places have removed hooks from public bathrooms.

How were a 2nd grader and 4th grader alone long enough, in the bathroom no less, for this to happen? And surely if the 2nd grader was hoisted up on to a hook there would have been noise happening?

How long was the child stuck? And why would a 4th grader be alone with a 2nd grader that long?

It’s not horseplay to lift another child that far up to suspend them from a hook!! Maybe I’m missing something- moo

Not a case of accidental horseplay as I see it- and yell for help if needed… something isn’t adding up… the 2nd grader had to be lifted up

Why were they in a stall together?
