I'm thinking that may be because the other officers and NG won't be there by 10 and because it would be dangerous for BPD to try to enforce that.

While the mayor fiddles, Baltimore burns.

Some kid is on channel 11 news is saying that their recreation was taken away so what else are they supposed to do...

Good gawd. If that's the mindset no wonder.......When this is all over make them clean up their own destruction!

Ellie---in all due respect, you are quite understated in your above comments.
I'm watching various news stations & listening to LE threats coming in.....
The situation is dire & severe right now.

I was simply agreeing with another member's comments.<modsnip>

Holy Cow.
Mayor just mentioned Al Sharpton welcomed to induce peace.
Tell me I heard that incorrectly.

Pfffft. These people are clearly not open to any sort of peaceful resolution.

Martin Luther King Jr. himself could resurrect from the dead and implore them to stop and I'm pretty sure they'd still continue with this horrifying nonsense.

This isn't about justice. Or them wanting their voice heard. It's about violence. And lawlessness.

The thanks button talk made me think about the ignore button which I just deployed.

Baltimore Police ‏@BaltimorePolice 2m2 minutes ago
We are deploying resources throughout the city to ensure residents are safe. Despite our efforts, criminals continue to assault officers.

This uncivilized anarchy will grow worse and eventually police will have to fire upon these "criminals" in order to protect their own lives and lives of others. This is like watching a train wreck in slow motion. The mayor's slow response in calling the governor for help might prove to be too little too late.

Meanwhile, let's not offend any of the looters, arsonists, or violent criminals by referring to them as anything other than angels who have been deprived of recreational activities.

Lord knows they're certainly not in need of hugs.

I see a guy just made off with a bottle of liquor. Folks just popping in, grabbing liquor and off they go. Per CNN

Channel 11 news said the bloods, crips, and bgf are going to talk with the clergy to see how to restore peace. They are meeting now from what I understand.

I call BS on this.

I am getting upset. "Police are not doing enough" What are they supposed to do? It is like trying to fight a fully engulfed housefire with a garden hose. It won't work and is a danger. If you think this bad, this is just the provocation! If they fight back right now the shooting starts! They are choosing life over loss of property. And I am talking a lot of lives! IMO some are just wanting to be able to say the police started it!
