I am local. This isnt going on all through baltimore but it certain places. It is bad even if it is just in certain neighborhoods. They are destroying the city, even if it is the bad neighborhoods.

I hope they stay safe. I don't think those participating in the violence give one single carp about what anyone wants them to do or not do.

Odd thought just crossed my mind. They are talking about how officers aren't using enough force, about how they aren't stopping the looters.

I am thinking of different departments, different officers, different situations. All we have heard for months from journalists and some leaders is police used too much force. Officer struggled with LE and killed, too much force. Lol they are now doing as the journalists asked. They aren't using force on these fine upstanding citizens. The leaders and journalists are getting what they asked for.

Journalists have asked, now the leaders are going to have to ask them to use necessary force to put a stop to it.

The community is coming out and trying to stop this. People live there...I hope they stay safe. Just because it is a bad neighborhood, not all the people who live there are bad.

i hope/pray they're better equipped than some of the officers i just saw on cnn . . . short sleeves - no gloves. it's kinda irresponsible, imo, for the commanders to send l/e out there like this.

Exactly, imo. I think the mayor gets it. This is not only about Freddie Gray. LE tipped the balance long ago, imo - it will get better when LE acts better.
