yup, i'm watching - and i know what i saw = not equipped.

oh well - that's okay if you don't agree.

I agree. Some are well equipped. But some look like they are wearing what they wear walking the beat.

They had several hours to move into the area and likely the looters would have scattered
That is where they scattered to after being chased away from the mall.

After Ferguson everyone said that was what CAUSED the rioting.
Too much police/military presence.
So this time they tried to assume it would be peaceful.
Didn't appear to work out too well for them.
Lesson being.... when people want to destroy things they will. :twocents:

God protect the firefighters.

Remember they aren't armed!

This thread is moving fast, so apologies if this has been covered. A while back on CNN they showed a taxi van being pulverized . I trust the owner/driver was not inside. Does anyone know ? TIA

These aren't the protesters. These are gangs actively attacking police. BIG difference.

IDK who these looters are- all I know is that they're destroying their community - whether they're protesters or gang members.

Looting is NOT a valid method of protest - regardless of whether or not it's done by gangsters or protesters.

I condemn all looting and destruction of businesses. I don't give a damn who's doing the looting & destroying.

And moved on to another place to loot and burn.

Fire hoses!

Honestly, those need to be deployed.

This has to be a tactical maneuver because those participating need to be caught and arrested. I wonder if LE could set up a perimeter and close in, utilizing fire hoses to push the violence to an isolated spot and then move in to make arrests. This is insanity. Ugh.

I don't know, because one of the cop cars being pulverized still had an officer in it.

My point is that these are not protesters. The protests ended days ago, the funeral was earlier today. THIS started happening after school let out and is possibly related to a credible threat rec'd by police back in Dec/Jan.

Even implying these are protesters is wrong, IMO. Especially those who protested in the name of Freddie Gray. They were peaceful. JMO

In Belgium they use water canon trucks to push back rioters.

I think that was a cop car and the news person said the PO was inside.

Sorry, I haven't read the entire thread yet, but wondered real quick if anyone has any live-stream links? Not CNN or WBAL - but like those UStream people??? Thank you in advance!

How many arrests have been made? Anyone heard a number?

I saw on live stream at least one who was attacking the cop/car was taken down.

  • #177
Giving "those that wish to destroy room to do that...", seriously??

It did? I saw that going on and several times people reached inside so I assumed he was NOT inside it or they would have pulled him out. I was scared to watch . :(
