I have to correct my post, some of the police did pick up the rocks thrown and hitting them and threw the rocks back. I say good for them, maybe some of the rocks hit their targets.

Why is she pissed

She accused the media of misrepresenting her comments from yesterday.

It’s a very delicate balancing act, because, we tried to make sure that they were protected from the cars and the other things that were going on, we also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well. And we worked very hard to keep that balance and to put ourselves in the best position to deescalate, and that’s what you saw.

Clearly the media didn't misrepresent what she said. She actually did make the above outrageous statement. If she did not intend for her comment to come out as it did she should have just corrected herself and apologized. Instead she blames the media. She doesn't seem like someone who can take responsibility for her words.

Watching the CNN footage of the looters.

All I can say is: Loser Clowns.

They're running into the mall with garbage bags - ready to fill them!

No self-respecting person with any semblance of pride would participate in this activity - only a loser clown would think this is anything to be proud of.

Loser Clowns!!!

ITA because the Mayor said they could. She said they can have there space to riot.

If I remember correctly, that's also what happened in Ferguson. The Nat'l Guard was held back while everyone watched the looting and burning.

If the speakers at the press conference are a representation of Baltimore it's no wonder they are in big trouble. jmo

I am sick & tired of seeing police cars & other public property, paid for by taxpayers, being destroyed by young ****s who never had a job or paid taxes. Damn!

no kidding? the th word is now bleeped out?
well, I cannot call them fine, upstanding citizens.

Then how about "rioters" "miscreants" or "criminals"? The reason that other word is not allowed is because it is typically used to define criminals of a certain skin tone.

We have plenty of words to describe the actions here. We needn't use race-specific ones. Yes, I know the word was not originally used as such but contemporary usage is, indeed racist and I applaud WS for disallowing it.

I don't see a color when I use that word. I see a personality.

If things in this country continue the way they're going there won't be any words left to pinpoint the looters and those doing violence. Enough is enough. Call it like it is.

I agree. Since when is the word t.h.u.g. a bad word - if the shoe fits and all that. The mayor of Baltimore herself used it in tonight's presser.
