Using your post as a springboard. Maybe someone ought to hold the occupants and driver of the paddy wagon gone wild while Mr. Gray was being transported responsible. Isn't it time the GOOD cops are tired of cleaning up after the bad ones? while the bad ones on desk duty or are on leave with pay? They're home safe somewhere, while their law abiding peers are out being endangers while battling the chaos they caused.

We can all argue back and forth about peaceful and non peaceful or rioters, but until those responsible are held accountable and are prosecuted appropriately, this is going to continue, over and over and over and over.

I have no problem holding the wrongdoers responsibile. But just like with anyone else it is a process. And that process doesn't happen overnight. There has to be time to interview anyone who could have been involved or a witness. Evidence has to be gathered and processed. Then it has to be reviewed to see if there is enough evidence to prosecute. One of the big challenges in Gray will be the fact that there are 6 officers involved. That means 6 viewpoints and possibly one or two people with something to hide. There were lots of witnesses and all with their own viewpoints and prejudices. There was lots of cameras all showing different aspects of what happened, none showing a complete picture.

It will take time this time. It isn't something that will happen overnight or even in a couple of weeks. And in the end they may not even be able to determine which officer. That is a possibility. It's not right to punish all. But can they determine which one?

Now the mayor says there is no such thing as the TH word. She was agreeing with the guy who I just said was delusional after he said there are no TH words, just kids that have been abused.

Some of you are following way more closely than me. So question for those who are. If the bloods and crips* were speaking with religious leaders yesterday on how to curb the violence , then does that mean the A ) previous reports of them working together to target LE was a lie? or hoax? OR B ) that once they realized how bad things were getting they changed their tune and wanted to help to look like the good guys OR C ) some third party ( outside instigator) made that story up to ramp up the tension ?

Oh, I agree. I just wish something would have been down by now due to the repetition of these types of incidents. They were saying something about these kind of rides being common in b'mor. The tricks of the trade aren't new on either side... It's time to level the playing field of accountability here.... Maybe make the repercussions of covering up more uncomfortable in some way. Somethings gotta give in a way similiar to how DUI's 30-40 years ago were more of a slap on the wrist than todays repercussions. The costs need to be more painful/uncomfortable.

I hope this doesn't linger on for days.

It was a credible threat per BPD and the FBI is investigating.

I saw a lot of talk about losing the message of the actual protestors, or not listening to their message. I am sad to admit this because of how I may be perceived, but I truly don't think the problem lies with police alone so it's hard to hear these protestors placing the blame solely on LE. As with any profession there are bad apples, bad practices, things to improve. But to me, the difference between ferguson and Baltimore, with Baltimore being a majority minority police force, shows that the makeup of LE doesn't matter. So that leaves me with blaming citizens for their actions. I am a huge believer in personal responsibility. I feel so many of society have shucked personal responsibility to the side and love to play the blame game. I could go on, but I don't want to derail the topic. I just wonder what I can do personally to make a difference when I think the protestors message leaves a lot not mentioned. I tutor in oak cliff, for kids at risk of dropping out of school, and I promise you not one of those kids I have tutored are where they are because of police brutality.

Every one of the six either participated in the event or helped cover it up. Baltimore has plenty of reason to fire them for cause just based on that. This wasn't an accident, it was intentional. It was cops torturing a suspect to teach him a lesson. using a method that had twice before resulted in a suspect being paralyzed and the city of Baltimore paying millions to settle a lawsuit. Now that the suspect has died, it is a clear case of manslaughter. The only thing that isn't clear is which officers were directly involved and which ones were simply accessories to the crime.

I have my own theory. I wouldn't be surprised if ISIS is somehow involved (pure speculation on my part). This is based on the fact that the Nation of Islam is part of this new Crips, Blood, BGF alliance. The Nation of Islam is connected to the Muslim Brotherhood which in turn is connected to ISIS. We have seen how ISIS have expanded their influence across the middle east and Africa by forming alliances with former foes, e.g. Al Nusra Front (Al Qaeda in Syria) Boko Haram in Somalia. ISIS is even rumored to be partnered with the Mexican drug cartels. If ISIS wants to gain a foothold in America I could see them recruiting members from inner city gangs.

Good to see another thinking outside of the box...these undercurrents are very real. Sometimes what we see is not always what it seems.

Actually the First Amendment does give people that right. It's very clear. Just because other people's rights are an inconvenience to you, doesn't give you the right to deprive them of their rights.
