MD - Pediatrician arrested for decades of child abuse

Altstatt was employed as a pediatrician and researcher at the former Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Northwest, D.C from the mid-1960s until the early 1980s. Police say they are concerned that there may be additional victims given his occupation.

I wish parents would NEVER allow their child to be left alone with a doctor or dentist!

I was never even asked to leave my child alone with a doctor, nor would I. There was always my child, the nurse, the doctor, and myself present. WHY were those parents expected to leave their child alone with the doctor????? Why wouldn't that be a red flag to the parent???
