State police has not identified the races of the bodies, but anonymous sources in Port Deposit say they were both black. And with every body found, the family of Phylicia Barnes is on edge.

The 16-year-old from North Carolina disappeared on December 28, while staying with her sister in a Northwest Baltimore apartment. We talked to Barnes' parents, but they have not heard from investigators about the most recent finding.

My thoughts exactly. My instinct/gut is this is rumor. A semi high profile case and someone trying to insert themself. An Autopsy hasn't yet been preformed so an official id couldn't be made as of yet.

So why are they not releasing a race, and are still not sure?
Once again the media can't get it together and tell it straight.
All of these different news reports.

I thought that the body should at the least revealed what race it is?

Depending on the state of decomposition race is not always recognizable.

It appears from MSM articles the two does are being taken to Baltimore Cnty for the autopsy. The coroner will look for identifiers which are available, evidence of PB's tattoo - depending on the condition of remains. Dentals, which they likely already have. We'll probably hear tomorrow if there is any possibility these are the remains of Phylicia or if she has been ruled out. An official id may take a bit longer depending on what is needed to make positive id.

My thoughts exactly. My instinct/gut is this is rumor. A semi high profile case and someone trying to insert themself. An Autopsy hasn't yet been preformed so an official id couldn't be made as of yet.

According to Searchtastic, this person mentioned PB as their cousin on January 7. She marked the tenth day since her cousin, PB, 16 years old, had been missing.

This is devastating no matter who the bodies belong to, it's breaking my heart to think that one of them may indeed be PB.

Back to the possibility of PB falling asleep as MJ stated.

I don't recall any discussion of this earlier... but it is possible if PB 'smoked' with MJ she could have fallen asleep. Pot puts people to sleep if they smoke enough of it. It is also possible, if MJ had friends over and they were all smoking PB got a contact high which made her sleepy.

Let's just suppose for a moment, PB did get high, fell asleep and MJ really did leave her on the couch as he said. Since MJ also mentioned DB didn't know all that went on in that apartment, I am now wondering if MJ gave someone else a key (other than the cousin living there) or perhaps the cousin gave someone else a key.

While I think the above might not be the most likely scenario it is certainly possible. What makes me doubt: Why wouldn't he have said they got high and she fell asleep (as a result of getting high)? DB had already openly admitted she had allowed PB to try marijuana so why wouldn't MJ? Why would MJ not agree to take a poly and be more cooperative with LE?

Of course the above is pure speculation and jmo

But this person mentioned she posted about her cousin in December. Anything on Searchtastic to confirm a december post? (and isn't it a bit weird a cousin would confuse December with January since there wasn't too many days of December PB was missing. )

I concur with Cubby that it is rumor and jumping the gun.

eta, after a lot of sleuthing, I can not find the "BFF" who is PB's sister. I think this person is referring to SS, the sister from NC. But I can't prove it.

Jesus....I can only imagine how PB's family and friends feel at this moment. Each time I hear or read this type of news, I can't explain the type of feeling I get. I pray it is not PB. However, if PB is still alive, I wouldn't want her to have to endure any type of negativity. PB was not handled well once she visited bmore. It's rough to beat up on the sisters due to the fact that, they wouldn't want this for PB. I can tell they love PB. I think it felt good for KB and DB to unite with PB.

Sometimes in life when we are very young to life, at that particular time, we tend to think we know it all, have all the answers and also feeling real adult like. We at times learn through experience and hands on training. Although the 2 half sisters have a certain level of maturity, it seems as if they were naive to the fact that, people you think you know; you then discover that you don't know them well at all.

I become crushed inside my spirit and inside my very being each time I hear that a body has been found. I think when DB looked exhausted in one of the videos, and some say she looked guilty, I think legally to a (degree) that (DB) is guilty of a couple of charges. Perhaps DB's morals are still slightly immature in nature and thoughts or decision making. Which mean that in this situation, DB is morally guilty than anything. We know DB didn't ask for this to happen. When I was younger, I had a BLAST when my little sister got to come and visit. We had sooo much fun. (she's 3 yrs younger than I) Yet, I knew it was MY duty to keep my baby sis safe!! As I always did. I would have to die first. So, certainly DB and KB could have made better decision making. DB and KB have been around those people for sooo long. They didn't think the crew were that (filthy) or would ever turn on them or harm someone they love..

Here, tonight, there are many awesome comments. Ideas that help us continue to press forward. Lets continue to say our prayers as we continue to move forward with this case. This new News, with bodies discovered in or by water is kind of alarming to me. I can't wake until LE respond to this finding.

Good speculating. MJ said he locked the door when he left, and then his bro/cou reported the door was unlocked when he got there, thus (in MJ's eyes) relieving him of the guilt. I think it is possible that he left her "sleeping" for someone else. Very possible.

DB was posting on the prayer page a little while ago.

She mentions the last time she received a text from PB was 12:23pm and that she did talk to MJ at 7:40pm. Additionally she mentions she tried calling MJ's LB but could not reach him so someone in her family went to the homes of MJ's family and PB was not there.

I don't think she mentioned what time she called LE nor did she mention/confirm KB's earlier FB post on the pea's childrens FB page neither of them verbally spoke with PB the day she disappeared. (after leaving for work.)

Additionally DB mentioned in this thread of comments she turned down Nancy Grace because NG's show is so drama filled. I'm not sure I agree with the choice to turn down national media attention. While yes, some of NG's tactics can be drama filled, it still would be an excellent opportunity to get sooo much more media attention and the advise of some of the panelists NG has such as Mark Klaas.... I'm a bit confused on the selectiveness of the media routes the B family has chosen.

There is NO bad press for a missing persons case.

Good speculating. MJ said he locked the door when he left, and then his bro/cou reported the door was unlocked when he got there, thus (in MJ's eyes) relieving him of the guilt. I think it is possible that he left her "sleeping" for someone else. Very possible.

It is also possible MJ had given C a key but kept that from DB. (and because he kept that from DB he is holding back info that he gave C a key? ) It's possible PB woke when C let himself in. If she woke hungry perhaps he agreed to take her to get something to eat - maybe one of the two forgot to lock the door?

I'd like to know if C has a vehicle and if it was processed by LE.

I still don't believe she walked to get something to eat, nor do I believe she was abducted by a stranger. The dogs tracked her scent to the parking lot or front door (depending on which reports read) she had to have gotten into someone's car - but whose? And which of the J family had access to the apartment when both DB and MJ were not there?

The person had a slew of posts on Jan. 7th about PB.
She lives in Atlanta, and there are a lot of B-family there, as well as JS's family there. So could be either side of the family, IMO.

Yep, and there go people jumping to conclusions again. MSM reports (previously posted and linked) mention neither of PB's parents have been called. And there has not yet been an autopsy. Race hasn't been confirmed nor has age other than adult which could be anyone who has reached adult height through age 99.

I agree, there is no reason this body has to be Phylicia. What I do not understand is why anyone would assume it is, rather than wait. Usually, you deny, deny, until you have to accept.

Why are we going backwards now???
All the information that we have thus far points to MJ as the main POI.
LE has stated that he was the last to see PB alive, not Cousin?
MJ has been the main one to be interviewed numerous of times by LE.
MJ is the one with the stories that don't add up.

Lets keep the focus where it needs to be, and where LE has it on MJ and his crew, not maybe MJ allowing his crew to have access to PB.

MJ is the main POI and most likely has everything to do with this case.
