Is there a newer thread for the new trial for Michael Johnson?
Trial began today.

In case there is anyone interested, I made a Case Archive for this trial. Since we do not know the victims name, but we know who the attemped-murder inmate is, I added it as a sub-album on the Phylicia Barnes case. He killed her in 2010.

I guess no one is following this old/new case... BUT!
Michael Maurice Johnson has been convicted!!!
He did get away with the attempted murder charge, but he will go to prison for a while.

After nearly four hours of deliberations, the jury delivered the verdict,
which also acquitted Johnson of first-degree attempted murder.
Jurors in this month’s case were not told about Johnson’s prior conviction —
he could be judged only on the evidence in the case in front of them.

Michael Maurice Johnson — cleared in the high-profile 2010 killing of 16-year-old Phylicia Barnes — was convicted Friday of raping and assaulting a woman in Baltimore County.

Very bittersweet justice, because if he had been found guilty in Phylicia's case, this assault/rape would have never happened. I wonder how many more there have been? Teens without support or family to back them up? Maybe some will come forward now. RIP Phylicia.
