On 9/23/1988 at 11:00 a.m. the body of Sharon Koontz was recovered in a motel room in the 4900 block of Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel County, MD. It was alleged that Ms. Koontz was a streetwise prostitute who often took men to motel rooms. The motel room in which Ms. Koontz was found showed no signs of forced entry.
