greeneyes, how do you know that? Do you have a link or is this personal knowledge? Even if it was a friend, IF it's the same boy, it's incredibly creepy that someone posted his wereabouts before the suspect was even named. Someone knew what had happened.

Nancydrew - I actually live here in Cumberland. I don't personally know the man Westfall but I know the girls mom/dad (however I did not know the little girl) but a friend of mine knows Westfall from being out drinking in the Bars and she is close with some people that personally know the van owner. That's where I got that information. And just before I posted that last night I double checked with her to make sure I didn't type something wrong. I'm just leaving the name of them out.

The people that I have talked to around here that say they know him only say that "he was weird", "he's like Jeckle and Hyde", "they never would've thought", "he wasn't what he led to believe". I mean so many people here have such different opinions but one thing that is consistent is that HE's NOT RIGHT IN THE HEAD!

This man has this whole town in complete anger, I'm just hoping that someone is not helping him and if so I sure hope that they are also prosecuted to the FULLEST extent of the law.

I didn't read the post about "Nana's house" til I read it here. I have no clue who it was or is. I truely believe it was probably Westfall or some teenager who obviously shouldn't be allowed to play on computers and needs to be better monitored!

Just to let everyone know again, there is a page on facebook that they are trying to get out there so everyone can see different pics of him and hopefully with enough help it will make it clear across the U.S.

I've noticed that the site has "banned" some people that was writing nasty stuff to everyone because they were Westfall's friends/family. Westfall and/or his friends probably spy on sites like the one on facebook, this one and many others for information. So I'm glad people can be banned. People like that make me sick!

I certainly hope anyone who is helping him is identified and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. How could anyone protect and aide such a person? He is a danger to the whole of society and needs to be taken off the street.

The story about the grave is just plain weird. I can't begin to imagine what her family is going through. It must be so awful for them. To even think about that gives me chills.

Wow, thanks so much for posting all that greeneyes. I think the reason we're all so gungho to find out to find out info about the boy in the signature is that if this person (who used the little boys name in a post) knew about the crime and who did it before LE did, then perhaps they are also helping to harbor Westfall? The comment is just SO odd. It's almost meant to reassure someone out there OR to just play a sick game. It could very well be Westfall himself that posted it though, so it may, in the end, prove useless.

If there are any alternative routes we can take to help with research and figuring out where this sick**** is hiding, please let us know!

Part of the reason the grave thing creeps me out so much is that MY first thought was maybe he planned on killing the 6 year old and reburying her in the gravesite, thinking she would NEVER be found. An idea that was used on Dexter, btw.

I also find it interesting that the poster of the comment chose to use a real child's name. It would have been easy to make up any name to still get the point across. A child's name is far harder to trace but certainly not impossible. Especially for LE. It was a curious thing to do. Being that Westfall was reported to have returned to the Arch St. house, does anyone know what time he was reported to have been there and what time he was seen leaving? I can't find an actual timeline.

I'm just wondering if the time stamp doesn't correspond with when Westfall might have been back at his house closing down some accounts. It seems that he had a running start. Personally, I think he's gotten help from someone local or someone who transported him out of the area.

Thanks for all the insight Greeneyes!! I have no doubt your town is in an uproar right now. This is really frightening. My thoughts are with you.

Hmmm, interesting. This site says that Paula's family visited at her grave about 10 days ago. I wonder if that was to commemorate the anniversary of her death.

This little girl's body must be found and returned to her resting place. My prayers are with her sisters. There's also a comment that the grave was most likely dug up on Friday the 13th.

The little girl in Cumberland was assaulted by Westfall on August 5th.

I just find it hard to believe that he has not done something like this in his past. I mean come on, do people just get up one day and say that they feel like doing that?! I doubt that. Besides he has lived in all them places - kentucky, california, florida and of course maryland. I wonder what cities in them states. And I wonder if anything like this has happened there? They say his fiance didn't know anything about this before hand, which she may not have and I sure hope she didn't, but she had to know this was a demented man! Since I find it hard to believe this is his first time, I then find it hard to believe she doesn't know about something. They didn't move back to Maryland the one site says until 2009. A man can't just walk out of his house with just whatever was in his pockets and get far without help. Think about it....he can't use credit/debit cards or withdraw from bank account cuz that all can be traced. So how can he survive out there with nothing unless he did indeed have a heads up that he was getting turned in. But still they would know by his accounts if a large sum of money was withdrawn and no body has reported that so I don't believe he had to much on him. Plus he was on disability. Someone has to be helping!

The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire started this last weekend and continues each weekend through October. Would Westfall be drawn to something like that?

Help!! Didn't I see a person on one of Westfall's friend's pages who was a seamstress of SCA/Ren Faire clothing? She was posed with her husband and she was wearing a white outfit. She's a larger woman. She said she had mild cerebral palsy. I seem to remember a comment about the PA Ren Faire but I can't, for the life of me, find the link.

FWIW, the Faire is held in Manheim, PA--18 miles from the cemetery where Paula was buried. I'm not certain but I think there is camping nearby. I'm just not certain as to whether Westfall would be interested. With everyone in costume, it would be hard to find him.

Edited: I've learned through a series of searches that the person of the same last name you found in MD but she lives in GA now. Not sure if they are related to the freak who kidnapped the little girl.

No sfbaynancydrew - you may not post the link. I am using your post to put up a warning that everyone remember we DO NOT sleuth minors. We do not make it easy for others to sleuth minors.

I know this case is a bit convoluted because of the little girl and other possibilities so I am asking everyone to be careful. Before you hit the post button, read your post and ask yourself - can I say this without referring to the minor? Can I direct to only the adults involved, without making reference to the minor? If this were my child, what would I think about this post?

I've been going through Westfall's friends to see if any are in the Lancaster area. I've been struck by the number of friends--over 700--and especially the number of attractive middle aged women. What's the attraction? Was he a schemer and a schmoozer? Did he possibly write "love" letters to a bunch of these women? Could one of them possibly be helping him? Someone's been supporting this guy. I haven't seen a lot of work history and I highly doubt that the book is bringing in royalties.

He's all about HIM--extremely narcissistic. His online persona is so very different than what we saw in the poetry contest video. I think he's very good at hoodwinking people. That's what makes him dangerous, IMO.

Missizzy - your timing is perfect. I was just coming to say that the story of the little girl in PA is off limits UNLESS it can be connected to Westfall. At this point it looks like the only connection is that "it seems to be something Westfall would do." We need a stronger connection than that.

Was Westfall ever in PA and more importantly, was he there recently? Is there anyway to connect him with the girl's family?

We need a connection or no discussion, okay?

If I was the Admin of that group I would leave them up there and let law enforcement knock at their doors and find out why they are so protective of him...
