I don’t know if this has been mentioned but there was a halfway house established in 1972 in Portland Maine… Shalom House, Inc. | VolunteerME Southern Maine

My thoughts was could the Shalom along with ( the other crude words written (which nobody knows what they are) on his pants, be some sort of directions how to get to this Shalom House place? Just a thought that popped in my head.

Wish there was some photo of the crude writing on his pants.

Do we know if Shalom was written alone or if it was part of the other crude words and that was the only word they could make out?

The area where this boy was found is and was an exit/egress ramp to Maryland Route 4. Unlike other ramps to this divided highway, you can only exit route 4 from the southbound lanes, and only enter on to the northbound lanes.

Therefore, a vehicle driven by someone who dumped his body (if he was dumped there) would have come from Washington DC, from Forrestville MD, or from the southbound Pennsylvania Avenue exit of I-95/495.

The vehicle could have then driven down Route 4 to this exit, dumped the body in a somewhat isolated area, and then re-entered Route 4 headed north back in the direction it came from. It couldn't easily have continued south on Route 4.

Strange, I was reading up about the DC Phantom Freeway killer, and then came across this...I doubt there's a connection, but one of the victims was found in the next town over, and they've always speculated the killer had some affiliation with a mental institute.
