Your mention of gangs sent me on a search of gangs.

I found a gang out of Jamaica Plains, MA. It caught my attention because of the tattoo of "JP". I am still trying to find the history of the gang, like when they started.

Not sure if it means anything but it may be worth a search.

I apologize if this was already mentioned before. An orange bandana was placed over her head and I searched to see if there was any meaning to the orange bandana and this is what I found:

The typos are from the link and I copied and pasted as is.

What does an orange bandana mean?

The orange bandana symbolize's a small gang called H3AT on the East Coast of New Jersey. Its name was made up thimking of the police; also known as the "heat". Two of the generals liked the name and replaced the letter "e" with a three(3) to represent the three(3) generals running the gang.

The color orange became H3AT's color representing the color of firee or flame; or another color of Heats could be white. The H3AT has no set rivals; the gang just runs there own territory and takes care of any unwanted company.

Members of H3AT will normally be representing there "crew" by wearing the colors orange or white on there clothing, also orange or white bandanas. The H3AT is a very strong gang and is better not to be messed with; but are very nice if you are not a threat to them. Also some gang members in the WestCoast in Orange County wear the color orange because they are surenos from that area.

A clue perhaps?

That might be a possibility. Jamaica Plain is frequently referred to as JP by the locals.

I would expect you to be able to find several gangs out of JP at various times.

Is Jamaica Plain anywhere near where the lawn seed bag was said to be sold?

It's outside of Boston, about 50 miles to Fitchburg where the keys were manufactured and which was one of the seed locations. If I recall correctly, Weymouth is another seed location; that's about 15 miles south. Lexington is 15 miles north. I don't remember the other locations and I can't find them either. Sigh.

There are actually six cities listed on the AMW site, even though the caption under the same graphic states five:

South Weymouth
Waltham
Lowell
Fitchburg
Greenfield
Rochdale.

Which covers pretty much the entire state.

Interesting that Greenfield is one of them. Greenfield is on route 2 not far from Florida, MA, where Lynn Burdick was abducted a few years later: http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/672dfma.html. Burdick also has a bit of a resemblance to this UID. Probably just coincidence.

I found some Jamaica Plain yearbooks if any one wants to have a look.

http://www.jphs.org/sources-archive/

Here's a girl from the Jamaica Plains HS 1976 yearbook with a widow's peak and a "McD's golden arches" hairline. The photo is of the Student Advisory Committee. She looks alot like our Jane Doe. The photo is uncaptioned, so her name isn't indicated. The book only shows senior portraits, and I couldn't find her among the senior portraits.

I know there was one senior that year who did not have a picture. Beverly something...

There are quite a few "Additional Members of the Class of '76" with no photos at the end of the senior portraits section.

Glad you all are looking at the possible MA connection. I started looking thru some of the yearbooks online of those towns where the bags were distributed but then I ended up getting busy here at work. I think the JP Jamica Plains angle is a good start too...

Carl, that's her. That is definitely JD. Get her name and submit her ASAP.

And now for a lighter moment: upthread, Carl posted a slightly different version of his reconstruction, and I said it reminded me of photos of somebody I knew?

Turns out it's spouse. :p His forehead is quite a bit higher than it used to be, so the M-shaped hairline isn't as prominent as it used to be. But I was looking at our wedding picture, which sits in the bedroom, and there it is. I look at it several times a day.

No wonder I thought it looked familiar!

For what it's worth, and it may be nothing:

There appears to be an underground music club circuit that had (maybe still has) stops in Jamaica Plain and Woodlawn MD. There are associated links for topless clubs and escort services -- I did NOT click on the links to follow up but the keyword was "gloryhole."

Woodlawn appears to be the regional headquarters for a number of businesses, including the federal government's Medicaid operations; there's a division in Jamaica Plain. It also looks like there's a hospital run by or associated with the Episcopal church in both places.

I thought DK was definitely JD. I'm not real eager this time around to prematurely declare this case solved. :)

And other than that one photo, I can't find any other photos of her in the yearbook, so I'm not quite sure how I would find out who she is, other than sending out a bunch of FB messages to the other people in the book. I'm not quite sure I want to go that route just yet.

Anyway, I have some doubts about this one. Her nose and jawline don't look quite right.

Wow what a striking resemblance!

It looks like she is also in the Student Council 1975-1976 picture.

I tried searching the teacher that was in the picture you found and had no luck. He apparently has the same name as the Craiglist Killer and that was all I could find.

ETA: Nevermind, he doesn't. Stupid autocorrect seemed to think he did lol.

I wonder if she's a teacher. She looks slightly older than a high school student.

I looked on FB for a Beverly D from JPHS and no luck. Will continue to search for her through other routes.

Checked findagrave.com for MA residents named Revised Full names to First name/Last Initial (incl. maiden name) -- Beverly A.D. died 1988 but it gave no DOB. She's buried in Worcester Co. Memorial Park.

Scratch B.A.D. from the list -- she was born 2/25/40.
