3/9/22: Our investigators have worked around the clock on this case. At this time, we are still unable to provide further details to the public so that we don’t compromise the investigation. As soon as we are able, we will provide more information.
3/8/22: This morning, Officers of the Hagerstown Police Department were waved over at the intersection of W. Franklin St and N. Prospect St. A woman told officers that she had left her two-month-old baby at her apartment in the 200 block of W. Franklin St. with a male acquaintance. She stated when she returned, the male was still there but the baby was gone. At this time, we do not know where the child is. Detectives are actively working this investigation and numerous individuals have been interviewed. We would like the public to know that we believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community. In addition, there are many details of the investigation that are not being released to the public at this time, including any potential persons involved. Anyone that knows where the child is or has information about this case is asked to contact Det. Weaver at
