I don't understand the negativity towards Ayla's mother and grandmother.

I agree ...

While the mom may not have been the "mother of the year" and may have some "issues" ... JMO, but I don't think she had anything to do with the baby's "disappearance" ...

The mother is the person who filed "custody papers" the day before the baby went missing ...

The mother and grandmother and her family are at least trying to do whatever they can do to get this info out there through the media about the baby ...

:waitasec: And that's MORE than what Ayla's father and his family have done ...

MOO ...

Yeah I agree. If she filed custody papers the day before that could easily be proven too.

We don't know what the father and his family have done. Personally, I think NG and her reporters spin things so that NG's pet in each case is viewed better. In this one, the mother is her pet, and therefore they are going to accentuate the positive about mother and emphasize the negative about the father. So he isn't on the news. Big whoop. He is cooperating, and I don't believe for a minute that LE doesn't know where he is. Nope, I'm not going to be distracted by a shiny shirt or big earrings, LOL. I don't fault the father at all for not speaking out. The mother is media blitz enough for both of them, IMO.

Trista's relative says that LE has told them to stay away from Waterville...

When I heard this, my first impression was this :

Maybe LE does not want her up there because they are afraid it would create MORE and unnecessary problems between the father and Trista ...

And LE does NOT need anything else to complicate the investigation, searches ...

Trista and Justin are young and immature ... and LE does NOT probably need the "drama" -- especially since Trista filed for custody the day before the baby went missing ...

Just speculating and MOO ...

Well at this point even though they are not coming out and saying it the focus seems to be on the father.

Nancy has her own thread in the parking lot for complaining about her show, children, etc., etc.

It is curious if a noise was so loud that a neighbor had to report it...seems Dad and pals should have heard it? And possibly checked on the kids, to make sure they were okay? Or...did they cause the noise?

Is there a link that states LE asked both sides of the families to stay quiet and away from the media? I don't remember seeing that one. I do recall mom being asked to stay in Portland instead of traveling to Waterville.

We were following NG discussion on Ayla's disappearance. Should we have done that there?

Nothing from the media. Mom says she was told not to go up there. Dad's side has not said anything, or reason for not saying anything.

Thank you. So the speculation that the father and his family/friends are not saying anything to the media because LE told them not to is just that......speculation. It's nice to keep the facts straight in these cases especially when so much info is coming out.

FWIW, just a reminder that NG complaints of various forms go into the parking lot.

:seeya: Do ya think it is time to bring in Oriah and Sarx for Expert verification ? :great:

Yep ... I was kind of "surprised" when Marc said that ... :waitasec::waitasec:

MOO ...

Well, it's true. And thank goodness someone with his public following acknowledges it.

It's true. They're not trained to do that, but they do make that mistake. Very very talented dogs probably wouldn't do that, but maybe sometimes.

Fact is, dogs aren't DNA. They do their best, and the best of the best is really good, but they make mistakes if smells are similar.

Speculation in that LE is tight-lipped & not providing add'l information & telling us that both parents are cooperating with LE . . . why would LE tell the parents it is okay to go to MSM when they/LE are/is so tight-lipped?

Maybe LE gave them no parameters?

Maybe the father/father's family is letting LE control the issue, not the MSM

Maybe, then again maybe not. There are any number of reasons why the father and his family are not talking to the media. At this point we, the public, do not know the reason.

As to why LE would allow the parents to go to MSM even though LE is being tight-lipped...........simple answer is so that Ayla is kept in the media and so people will continue to be on the look out for her.

MOO
