I didn't know if this information has been posted yet, but there is a statement on Ayla's website regarding TR's infant son's illness. According to the website, she has been in the hospital with Baby R for the last week. My thoughts and prayers are with Trista's son.

PD seems to be very protective of JD. When the fall occured, she was more worried about JD than Ayla. She was more concerned with JD's class than the ER visit. When she learned Ayla was missing, her first thought was that JD would go around kicking down doors.

"I walked out of my house to go down to the station to give statements, and all of a sudden we were homeless on top of everything else,"

"It's been very hard," she said. "You're worried about your children. Your granddaughter is missing."

"My son was in shambles -- just crying and shaking -- and there was nothing I could do to comfort him," she said. "You feel so helpless."

"My house was in shambles," she recalled. "I don't even know how to describe that. I felt violated. Along with the fact that someone took my granddaughter from my home, (the police) came in and did what they did."

It reads to me like JD is her number one priority. Her omissions look like an effort to back up JD. The focus of all the DiPietro's statements seem to be to "correct" public opinion. All MOO

I agree with you. I also feel like she's prone to being dramatic. MOO! I admit that the "homeless" comment made a strongly negative first impression on me that I'm trying to overcome.

My opinion is that once a person lies, it is very hard if not impossible to trust anything they say from that point on. PD waited two days to even correct her story, which is even worse--in my opinion. Therefore, just because she claims that she was upfront with law enforcement, I don't trust her word from this point on. Not only that, but JD used his mother as a witness on national television to back up his story that there wasn't a party in the house the night Ayla disappeared. From my perspective, that makes JD a liar too; obviously he knew that his mother wasn't at the house that night. What other individual has come forward in support of JD besides his mother? JD also used her for his account of Ayla's arm injury. Now, I believe that it is reasonable to question whether that story is true since I don't feel that PD is to be trusted at this point. I really don't feel that she had anything to do with Ayla's disappearance, but I am very suspect about JD. If nothing else, they have both illustrated to the public on national television that they are not honest people, in my opinion. This is a very big deal--not something that can just be logically explained away.:twocents:

Question: Did JD ever say in any media interviews that his mom was at the house that night? Also, I have seen some mention of a gf, yet I have not seen anywhere that said he has a girlfriend? Or did I miss it?

I know LE thinks the home is where Ayla went missing.
But...just wondering...could PD (paternal grandmother) taken Ayla with her (to parts unknown, so far), so that the others could have a non-party (get-together), and Ayla went missing from there? (From where grandma was?)
Just a thought.....

If it happened that way, the PD sure was not aware of it else they would not have taken over the home considered a "crime scene." (Keep in mind an abduction from a home is a crime scene.)

In the media video that was posted (where she shows us the red dress) I could tell by the way she answered 'no' to some of the questions that she wasn't there.

I can't go by what the media states as 'she said...' because that could just mean that she again, answered yes or no, not that she expanded on the reply.

I'm not too concerned, since I have no doubt LE knew this all along...mind you I'm replying to a very early post so I'll carry on and see

What I noticed in that video is that the red dress is a size 7. Kind of large for a 2 year old..I would think. Also...what I find the most concerning is her answering "no I didn't hear anything" when asked specifically if she heard any noises in the house. Well... I guess we could say this is truthful as she couldnt have heard anything as she was not there...but her response was misleading in the context of how they asked the question. I don't think LE had her get on television and "lie" about being there and then asking her to retract it. Does not make sense at all. I think the opposite. I think because she stated she WAS there on tv the PD called her back in and asked "why when you told us you weren't there?" That is my thought.

A size 7? I have to watch that video again.

It's the shoes that are size 7. That's normal for her age.

Now that you mention it, that dress did look big for a 20 month old baby. It did look like it was more for much older kid.

That is a very good question. I don't know whether JD has outright stated that his mother was at the house that night or not. I do recall the interview in which PD was sitting there and backed up his story regarding the alleged party. In my opinion, it is logical that in order for an individual to vouch for activities going on at one's place of residence, that person would definitely have to be present. In my opinion, he used his mother as a witness to there not being a party at the house whether it was outright stated that she was there or not. Deception and dishonestly are pretty much the same thing to me. I personally have not seen it confirmed anywhere that JD has a girlfriend, but I haven't actively searched for an article or interview that mentions it.

Please excuse me because it's been tough day and I have a murderous headache, but will one of you please enlighten me as to where Ayla was last seen and by whom (as reported in MSM)?

Exactly when was Ayla last seen by anyone who didn't live in the paternal grandmother's house and exactly who is it who last saw Ayla at a location other than her paternal grandmother's house?

Thank you in advance for helping to sort me out here!

It is the little shoes that are a size 7 ~ the dress looks like an appropriate size.

The last person to see Ayla is Justin Dipietro since he claims that he put her to bed. The times have fluctuated from 10 ish to 8 to 8:45 pm with 8 pm being the most commonly reported time. At the very beginning, it was reported that Ayla was put to bed by a family member.

As for your other questions about when she was last seem by anyone outside of her paternal gm's house by anyone other than people who live there: it hasn't been disclosed.

I have a bad headache too.

I wish we knew if the other adults in the home that night saw Ayla...why is this such a secret? Just like in Lisa's case, no one is saying they saw either baby for sure...I am losing hope that Ayla is the victim of a custody ploy...

And while authorities for weeks have urged the public not to speculate or spread rumors, on Saturday, one of the most closely followed Facebook pages devoted to the missing girl, "Find Ayla Reynolds Missing Since 12/16/2011 From Waterville, Maine," apparently changed course and solicited personal opinions.

From Jane Velez Mitchell last night:
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1201/09/ijvm.01.html

Straight out to CNN`s Susan Candiotti, who spoke to this grandmother - - great work snagging that interview view. So, spell it out for us. How did this grandmother, the father -- the mother of the father of the missing child, how did she change her story and why?

CANDIOTTI: Well, we spent hours with her one evening last week and clearly I was left with the impression, as was my producer and the photographer that she was there that night. When we left the very next morning I went back to the house because I was to meet with her son, Justin, who said he wanted to talk with me.

But she met me at the door, Phoebe did, and said, "I have to tell you something." And she said, "I obviously left you with the impression that I was there. I was not. What I know," she said, "I want to clarify, I heard from others."

And she said, she was trying to be so careful to follow the police instructions about not saying anything about what happened that night that she slipped up. And she wanted to tell me as soon as possible so I wasn`t left with the wrong impression and she said, "I told the police immediately as they started their investigation exactly what I`m telling you, that I wasn`t there that night. I told them where I was. They know everything about my whereabouts."

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Ok.

CANDIOTTI: I have to tell you something, Jane, I give her credit. I give her credit for owning up to it. She didn`t have to, but she did.

Good for her... Now that she's figured out that lying about the night Ayla disappeared is not even close the same thing as not saying anything about the night Ayla disappeared interviews are going to be easier for her to manage. Lies are hard, "I can't say anything about that topic" is easy.

Has anybody figured out why, if they can't say anything about the night Ayla disappeared, it was nevertheless okay to say that there was no party and um hm people watched tv and had dinner and um hm and there was no noise and someone was casing the home but it's such a state secret who was there? If none of the people who were there did it, why does it matter if we know or not? Is it just that it's a bit embarrassing for them to reveal who was NOT there since the grandmother has been implicitly understood to vouch for her son's parenting and Ayla's safety that night? Or is it more about the people who were there and things that we could find out about them if they were known?
