Now that people are bringing it to my attention, I’m going back and saying, wait a minute. I never went to get her because I thought she was OK and well cared for.”

bbm1 = So...obviously he has spoken to others about TR and/or her family coming and taking Ayla. Seems that worried him.

bbm2 = Or...she wasn't allowed to? What the heck? I thought she was trying to get her back. I thought there was a 'deal' with a 'date' that he was suppose to give her back? Why didn't she take that paperwork and get her back? Just so odd!!

She is a bit confusing too. She thought that Ayla was OK and well cared for? Or worried because she got bruised a lot?

Hindsight may play a part I suppose. And she could have been trying to balance between telling how she feels and not getting on JDP's bad side so he would talk to her.

A parent can be worried about a child getting alot of bruises and still feel that the child is ok in the situation. Bruises are one thing, something that happens with children when they play. Being "kidnapped" in the middle of the night is a different horse all together. Did TR worry about Ayla getting the bruises? I'm sure she did. But I'm also sure that she never thought that Ayla was in serious danger when staying with her paternal grandmother. Some parents do not watch their children as close as the other parent may like so the bruises and such happen. But how many parents actually think that their child is going to go missing while in the care of their other parent?

MOO is that TR makes perfect sense in her concerns. This was not something that she thought she had to worry about and that Ayla would be "ok" while in the care of her father and his family.

She didn't lie to the people that mattered -- LE. She didn't outright LIE to us either and state for a fact that she was there. She answered questions and left us with the impression she was there, but clarified within 24 hours...

OK but we don't know if she lied to LE either. She did more than suggest on more than one occasion that there was no party at her house that night. How does she know? Does she know who was there that night and where everyone was and what time they went to sleep at? If she wasn't there, than she doesn't have much to say. JMO

TR may have had misgivings about the lack of comminication with JD and lack of his seeming wilingness to allow her to speak with Ayla as frequently as requested. She may have had concerns about his seeming reticence to return Ayla and what felt to her like defensiveness on JD's part when questioned about bruises (I know, unconfirmed by anyone outside TR's camp).

Those red flags, in her eyes, may have led her to suspect a custody battle, and caused her to file the rights and responibilities paperwork, thinking she was being eased out of the picture.

Even feeling that way, she may have felt her daughter was being cared for and loved especially with PD's presence in the household.

In other words, her wanting her daughter back and feeling that daughter was being loved and properly cared for in the interem are not inconsistent in my eyes.

The way I see it is that she should never have agreed to be interviewed by the press since she wasn't there. She is a huge liar. No excuse. I do not get good vibes from this woman at all.

Why isn't the press trying to get interviews from the sister and the gf?

Depending on where she was, there may not really have been the choice to lie to LE. It could have been pointless to lie if they had access to her phone records and pings, her credit card bills, her time card at work, the statements of a number of people at the same party she was or some other document showing that she was elsewhere.

Please let LE sort out this mess and find this little girl. I am so concerned about this turning into a Haleigh Cummings case. So far, that is what I am seeing.

Here's my take. Sis/mom are going to watch her kids. Jd says I want Ayla. TR is in or going to rehab. She hems and haws- I can see in her statements she was concerned, like most mothers would be letting someone else have your child, but he is aylas dad and maybe those bruises were accidents. Her mom/sis probably say no, we want her. Trista doesn't fight it because she is off to rehab to get back on track. Jd decides to get Ayla, gets LE to come with him, and he takes her. Trista prob talks to him about her expectations, live with his mom, etc. She gets out of rehab. And I would like to make my opinion clear- she is not a BAD MOM for not rushing over there and demanding Ayla back. The situation with jd is not ideal but she is trying to get her life together and she just might be mature and responsible enough to admit that she is not equipt to care full time for Ayla right now. Now as days pass, trista might be realizing something's amiss. She has only seen her once, twice? At the Dr's office? Why can't I talk to her? She is noticing jd isn't cooperating, jd mentions Ayla might be taken, and then jd talks about filing for custody and not taking Ayla to the specialist. Whoa!!!! Red flags come up and trista high tails it over to file her own custody papers. Ayla goes missing and, I personally think, she starts telling her suspicions to the media because she is putting it all together in her head as the case is unfolding. The end. Moo

Totally agree. PD never should have spoken if all she was going to do was spin a tale that she was then going to have to do a complete 180 on.

Left a really big issue for me credibility wise. How now am I to believe a word she says?

I guess I've managed to miss where proof's been given that she could in no way have been near the house that night. Also, I'm still not discounting the fact that one of her friends or family members could have taken Ayla.

I agree my t, that comment from TD certainly indicates a certain lack of emotional maturity. I took it to mean she was describing her emotions as she reconciled herself to the changes motherhood was about to impose on her life. As in "on the plus side, she is mine forever and will be my best friend, no one can ever come between us, she will love me unconditionally, forever and ever"

This is an attitude I typically see in some young, emotionally immature mothers. While sad in that it indicates immaturity in a person with mature responsibilities, I didn' t find it particularly omminous, or an indication of a future willingness to kidnap.

How do "we" know the media isn't/wasn't/didn't try to interview the women... maybe the media did, and those 2 women said "no". ??? ---jus' sayin'. I have been adamant since day one, the people who were there that night need to be interviewed, re-interviewed, and WHY aren't those ppl talking, or revealed???

The comment might speak to her maturity issues as a parent. She said something else a while ago about Ayla being her best friend and she was always there to listen when TR had a bad day and she could tell her deepest, darkest secrets to Ayla. It is IMO not really a toddler's job to listen to mommy's deep dark secrets and comfort and make her feel better, the mom should be there to for the child and not the other way around. The not sharing the child thing is a bit similar imo in that the priority is the mom and not the child in the sentiment.

I have no idea if she has an alibi but if a mother abducts her child from the father's house I would expect her to run away with the children. I could be wrong but it seems to me that the parents who take their kids just to kill them (to torture the other parent?) are usually fathers.

I would hope that the police have checked out if there are any close associates who have gone AWOL at the same time Ayla did.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence but sometimes you see "we tried to contact so and so but they would not respond" or "so and so declined to be interviewed". I don't remember any of that here.

I thought I had sen early on that LE had checked out TR's alibi and she was where she said she was? Off to try to find that. As to a family member or friend taking Ayla - we don' t, any more than we don't know that someone on JD's side has done so on his behalf.

Neither seems any likelier with each passing day.


Eta I cannot find a link to where LE early on said T's whereabouts had been verified.
