IMO there is far too much attention being focused on the gate. Maybe for lack of any new info. I just dont feel either party is savy enough to pull the wool over everyones eyes.

There might not be any blood if there was internal bleeding or head injury.

However, there must have been something because LE turned that house upside down.

Think about it this way - what if the gate wasn't there that night, but Ayla wandered towards the stairs and fell down. That might be considered neglect and a good reason for a coverup.

See, I think the whole "Justin accidentally broke the gate in the morning" line from the original blog post was an explanation they gave the cops. What if the gate had been broken for a while and those little children really weren't protected by any gate at all?

By turning the "house upside down," no one can say with any conviction that LE didn't do a thorough job of searching the house.

It is interesting that the 911 call itself appears to have such significant and/or compelling info that it must be kept secret. I have no idea what that means one way or the other, but am counting very much on LE having some idea where this case is headed. These countless unresolved missing child cases are really not acceptable on any level in a civilized society, IMO. Perhaps the laws protecting the adults in the instances are a bit too civilized at times...again JMOJMOJMOJMO (not asking for a debate on the rights of the individual, etc...I am aware and agree that overall they are important, but do think children end up getting the shaft far too often, in order to protect the rights of the adults. And it is just an opinion, I am certainly in no position to start stripping anyone of their rights.)

If the 911 caller said something different from the story as it is now ( if the story changed, as it has the past few weeks), then they really can't release it because it might compromise a future court case. A defense attorney might say it would bias a jury against the family or something like that.

I would say they went through the house thoroughly for many reasons, not just one reason. Hopefully the main reason was to get to the truth.

Amanda, you have you information you say about the paternity issue with Justin, that he questioned the paternity, that he took some kind of -- or demanded a paternity test, what do you know?

BENNER: When Trista first got pregnant she was actually staying with me. She had gone to see Justin and told him she was having a baby, and that it was his. He denied it. They ended up having to get a DNA test through DHS, which proved he was the father of Ayla. And then he continued on having nothing to do with her.

He was at one point going to go and sign his rights over to her. He wanted absolutely nothing to do with this child. And it took until the point that Trista was like, fine, if you`re not going to be there for her, and you want nothing to do with my daughter who you created, this amazing little girl, then, you know what, fine, sign your rights over. And as soon as she said that.

Other than that they're repeating things they've heard on the news and there are some nonsensical questions (IMO). A caller asks why JDP hasn't shed any tears - how the heck does she know he hasn't? Then they're suggesting pregnancy and drug or alcohol use as reasons for stopping Trista's polygraph, but it doesn't make sense to me, wouldn't a pregnancy be known about before hand, and if she was intoxicated during the polygraph I would think that a seasoned interviewer could tell during the initial contact.

Now, that is interesting. That response tells me they have a very good idea of what happened or who did it. Not releasing calls is getting common. Wouldn't want people to know who the perp is....can't have that. Defense attorneys will get all over them for causing public outrage on their clients. I'm sick of it. I'm tired of it and I'm disgusted by what has happened to our Law Enforcement Agencies. Defense Attorneys have caused all this. Our children are being found...and perps are getting away with murder..all because some people are SO very worried that the perp's rights might be violated...grrrr.

When it comes to missing children, there should be nothing held back. Le should be able to talk to them in any way that can elicit a response and find the baby. This carp has gone too far. Something needs to be done.

Your post gave me some ideas and questions ... so jumping off it here :


LE had the DiP's home sealed off for 2 weeks ... which seems like a long time IMO ...

Does anyone know what would be the "average" amount of time LE would keep a home sealed off, when a child is "reported" to have been taken by an "intruder" ?


Also ... 2 of the State's prosecutors showed up during the investigation when the CSI Team was at the DiP home [ not sure what their correct "title" is in Maine ] ...

Does anyone know IF this is "normal" ?

I don't recall the State's prosecutors showing up in some other cases when the house was sealed off -- maybe they did show up and I missed it ...

But a recent example I was thinking of was the Baby Lisa case -- I don't remember seeing anything in the MSM about the prosecutors "showing up at the house" when the CSI Team was there -- maybe they did and I missed it ...


I do believe LE knows something as to what REALLY happened in that house ... JMO but they need to find Lisa ... and I do NOT believe that she is being held by someone somewhere ...

Or... you can look at it another way. When LE says releasing information might compromise an investigation, it could mean that it would jeapordize their case and keep them from getting a conviction. LE does not care about protecting the perp in every case, it's the defense attorneys who focus on the criminal's rights, and hinder LE in doing their jobs. Releasing the 911 calls is not going to help them find this baby... I'm pretty sure they didn't tell the dispatcher what happened or where she is.
Yes, I agree, there is way too much focus on protecting the criminal's rights, but I can't see how keeping the public informed is helping in any case.
Caylee's case was the most highly publicized case in America for 3 years. Every bit of documentation and recordings was released and made public as soon as the media could get hold of it and 90% of the country knew Casey was guilty from Day One. In the end, she was acquitted. All that publicity didn't prejudice the jurors against her, did it? She still got away with murder.

I doubt that he is living in luxury, not if he's on DR. I think this is his way of thumbing his nose at the system. When the day comes for him to walk to his own execution, he probably won't be laughing much.

Anyway, I had a dream last night about this child. Perhaps it was triggered by seeing her picture on Nancy Grace.

OT: Even more sad is that these DRI's have more services, attention, education, resources, medical care, college opportunites, meals and living quarters than our adults with developmental disabilities receive. Funding cuts have been drastic. Remember that when your folks on the ballots ask you what is important.
