So the best friend is emerging as a possible player. This is what I was fearing. He was posting on the find ayla fb arguing with posters from the beginning. I guess we'll have to wait to see how things will play out. I hope the wait won't be too much longer.

I have not been here in a while but I have NOT forgotten about little Ayla !

I was just getting caught up and WOW ... some interesting "tidbits" which I quoted and posted my :twocents: in response ... FWIW !

Wow, all of this new information coming out about little Ayla, and she is still way back here in the forums? The latest is that JP took a 160 mile there and back road trip to Portland, ME the morning of Ayla's disappearance before he called 911 to report her missing. I hope there will be justice for little Ayla very soon.

It's Yahoo News, so I can't post the link. I suspect that it will come out in MSM though since it was revealed by Jeff Hanson.

Oh, I hope so because JMO, it has always been my opinion that LE had the "goods" to charge J DiP and his crew, but the "hold-up" was the Prosecutor's office ...

It seems lately that almost all of the prosecutors want that "air-tight" case as well as a body ...

I can't believe that police have known this all along and not reported it....

He found Ayla missing in the middle of the night, drove to Portland to see if Trista had her, except he never made it her motel, then he turned around, drove back home to report her missing?

I think that LE knows a LOT more than they are releasing because they do NOT want the DiPietro's & crew to know what LE knows ... LE wants to be "one step ahead" of the DiP's ...

JMO ... but I think Justin is saying that he drove to Portland to see if Trista had Ayla, and did NOT make it to Trista's hotel so he turned to go home is Justin's BULL **** DEFENSE !

Justin knows that Mr. McCausland / LE know he is LYING and he has been "caught" -- BUT -- LE needs Ayla !

The Cumby's convenience store video is the 15th. The newest trip information, if true, (have to say that) involves the 17th, in the early morning hours. This new info was mentioned on HLN very briefly. It was attributed to the maternal family, however and not to LE.

Jeff Hanson, official spokesperson for Trista Reynolds, has now "retracted" the statement about Justin making a trip to Portland sometime before the 911 call.

His claim now is that Justin left Ayla with Courtney in the basement around 8pm while he went out for "wine".

Remember, this is Jeff Hanson's claim, after he "retracted" the first statement, claiming Trista "misconstrued".

Anyone get the feeling he is ****-slinging to see what will stick and get a rise out of the DiPietro's? He knows LE wont back him up one way or the other, so he has nothing to lose.

I can understand why Jeff might do that, in order to get information, but lying to the media and the public could muddy the waters later, for the jury and prosecution, no?
